“Please stay at this wonderful chambre d’hote. Roxi is the perfect host and you can really tell that she has put her heart and soul into this lovely house. The bedroom we had was amazing and had everything you need including a huge jacuzzi!!! Perfect place to enjoy the town of Verteuil sur Charente. Fresh eggs included in great breakfast. We will be back!!!”

“Étape d'une nuit dans ce charmant gîte. L'accueil était très soigné et j'ai particulièrement apprécié les instructions reçues avant l'arrivée concernant les options existantes pour se restauré. Pas de télévision mais cela m'a permis d'apprécier le calme du gîte et le repos apporté par la nuit passée. Pour conclure, je recommande ce gîte si vous êtes à la recherche d'un accueil simple, authentique et si vous rechercher le calme.”

“La réservation était faite pour quatre jours sur votre site, quand nous sommes arrivés on nous a gentiment dit que rien était réservé pour nous parce que notre hôte ne regarde pas les mails Abritel, elle a été désagréable, nous a envoyé paître. Elle n’a présenté aucune excuse et ne nous a pas proposé de solution et a en plus souffler parce que l’on ralait. A priori nous ne sommes pas les premiers à avoir cette expérience avec cette hôtesse qui change le nom de son gîte pour annuler les mauvaises...

“I arrived at address provided at 15.58 other 7th August. Property looked closed down. I rang and messaged owner several times. All records available on my phone. No answer from owner. I am visiting France from Ireland. I had to find alternative accommodation 16km away. The owner then messages me 4.5 hours after asking me if I was coming. Disgraceful. I will be applying for a full refund as this is not acceptable. The alternative accommodation I found was brilliant and it should be people like...

“Friendly welcome from the owner and shown to a nice family room. Comfy beds and bathroom with really good shower. Lovely breakfast served outside in sun. Kids enjoyed the pool, very clean. All would have been perfect but for the unexpected heatwave which reached about 40 degrees and as there is no air con we initially suffered trying to sleep. Saying this l would definitely go back again, it is so very quirky!”

“La maison est celle que nous recherchions, une maison typique en pierre avec ses poutres en bois à l’intérieur et les lézards à l’extérieur. Nous avons eu beaucoup de chaleur donc la piscine mise à disposition nous a bien servis.
