Bear Lair at Teton Valley Idaho - Jackson Hole

Summary:

Allen’s place is clean and pristine and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the decor and the beds were super comfortable. We’re were also so happy that our little Frenchie could join us. The location of this place is great - quick drive to the local market and restaurants and beautiful, short drive to Jackson Hole!

The Space:

located in the Summit Townhome community just a half mile west of the only stop light in Victor. The townhome is two stories with one full bathroom and two bedrooms upstairs. The main floor has a kitchen - living room with T.V. - the master suite and one and half bathrooms. A small patio is located just outside the living room.



Other Things to Note:

Please understand that this is a townhome so you may at times hear neighbors and they can hear you. Please don't run on the stairs.

We really enjoyed our stay for it was obvious that the owners took great pride in the accommodations they provided. The place was tastefully decorated, well equipped and very clean. Air conditioning was available but my wife and I enjoyed having the window open at night and looking out at the mountains. Victor is a short drive from Jackson, and we really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere there. A short walk /drive over to a coffee shop in the morning and resturant/pub at night.

Bear Lair was our home base for exploring GTNP and Jackson. The townhome was super clean, comfortable, contemporary, and well appointed. Definitely would recommend staying here. Just FYI: Communication is with a management company rep not an owner. Our pre-arrival questions regarding restaurant recommendations and specific furnishings went unanswered, but Allen was fully attentive and responsive once we checked in.

The townhome was clean and furnished with everything we needed. The drive from Victor to Jackson was short (and beautiful), and the home is located such that approaching the parks from the south or west is reasonable.

Bear Lair

The property is in a great location easily accessing both Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee. Victor is a cool little town as well. Allen, the owner is very conscientious about his excellent property. It is very well appointed and well laid out. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay in Victor

If the high prices and lack of available properties in Jackson has you frustrated, you should consider staying here. This property is super clean, very comfortable, good size bedrooms and baths and living areas. Everything you see in the pictures is accurate. It's a 30 min drive over Teton Pass to Jackson. Not sure how scary it is when there is snow or ice because we had nice weather. Victor has a great local market and several nice restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Place to Stay

Our famy enjoyed the space at this property so we could relax in between days trips into Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Jackson and Grand Teton Base Camp

My wife and both our parents came out for a trip to Jackson hole, grand Teton and eventually Yellowstone. We stayed here for our Jackson and grand Teton staging area. It was spectacular! My folks said the master bathroom was the greatest they’ve ever stayed in and we loved the location! It was such a perfect setup for 6 folks and the owner was so prompt and helpful! If you’re coming in for Grand Targhee, Jackson, Jackson Hole or the Grand Tetons, this is the greatest place to stay for a few days as you explore!

Nice Place

Very nice townhome and good location to ski both Jackson and Grand Targhee. Arrived to a foot of snow in the driveway after driving for 10 hours and the snow shovels were broke. That was unexpected and no one ever came to clear it off. The kitchen could use a few more utensils and dishes in the cabinets. There was a box of extra dishes upstairs but we didn't want to have to account and put away what we pulled out. The heater in the garage worked better than in the unit and because the bedrooms were right above the garage, they were quite warm. We slept with windows open. Could use some kind of cable on the TV to keep up with local storm forecasts. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The beds and bathrooms were great and there was plenty of room for all of us.

Beautiful getaway

We are traveling to California and wanted to spend a few days at the National Parks. We saw this home and are so happy we found it. It is peaceful and beautiful. All of the furnishings are wonderful and everything you could want in the kitchen.
