  • Vattene in questa affascinante baita sul fiume! Situato sulla riva del fiume Watauga, puoi uscire dalla porta e guadare l'acqua e far volare il pesce al contenuto del tuo cuore.

    Il livello principale ha una grande sala con soffitti a volta con travi a vista e mobili in pelle scamosciata disposti intorno a un camino in pietra con un lettore TV e BluRay montato in testa. Canne da mosca vintage decorano la stanza, e c'è un rustico albero di Natale in un angolo decorato con un tema di pesca a mosca. Un tavolo rotondo per quattro porte scorrevoli in vetro si affaccia sul fiume, e c'è un altro tavolo per 6 nella sala da pranzo. La sala da pranzo ha il suo camino a legna ed è accanto alla spaziosa cucina con pavimenti in pietra. C'è anche un mezzo bagno con lavatrice e asciugatrice a questo livello.

    Al piano superiore ci sono due camere da letto e un bagno completo con doccia piastrellata e lucernario. La prima camera da letto ha un letto matrimoniale e porte scorrevoli per il ponte superiore, e alla fine della sala è la camera da letto principale. Questa camera ha un camino in legno nell'angolo, un letto King, un divano a tre posti e un divano letto con rotelle, insieme a una TV e una serie di porte scorrevoli sul ponte superiore. Ci sono unità finestra a / c nelle camere da letto e nel soggiorno.

    Il piano inferiore della cabina ha una seconda area soggiorno con un biliardino, HDTV con lettore DVD, gioco arcade Golden Tee e divano letto. C'è un bagno completo con una combinazione vasca / doccia, e alla fine della sala è una camera da letto con due letti Queen in esso.

    C'è tanto tanto da apprezzare fuori da questa cabina come dentro. Il ponte di livello superiore ha un'amaca, dondolo e un divanetto imbottito con vista sul fiume. Il ponte principale ha la griglia a gas e una selezione di sedie a dondolo. Fuori dal livello più basso troverai la vasca idromassaggio, un'altalena per i kiddos e il sentiero di ghiaia che porta al pozzo nero con il fiume a pochi metri lungo il sentiero. Rilassati e ascolta l'impetuoso fiume Watauga mentre fai arrostire i marshmallows nel firepit in riva al mare!

    Draggin 'Fly si trova lungo una strada che, 100 anni fa, faceva parte della ferrovia per Tweetsie Railroad quando ha corso da Elizabethton TN a Todd NC come parte della Ferrovia ET & WNC, ed è a soli 10 minuti da Boone vicino alla storica Valle Crucis. Ci sono diversi servizi di guida di pesca d'altura e pesca a mosca nelle vicinanze, e tutte le grandi attrazioni che l'Alta Patria ha da offrire sono solo a breve distanza. Sei sicuro di amare tutto di questa affascinante baita sul fiume!

Great cabin with lots of room!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Draggin Fly! It had plenty of room for our family and we loved the porches and the access to the water. We would love to come back and make more memories there!

Best of the best

We had a wonderful vacation! Fly Fishing 10/10 just steps away from the cabin. Cabin was very clean, kitchen well equipped to cook all meals. Gas grill needs a little work but we made it work. Will definitely book this cabin again!

Dragon Fly March 2024 Relaxation Retreat

Great property Great cabin ambience Well equipped and set up Great location on river with great view and sound of river Access to road from western approach required turn around on other side of road but no big deal. Hot tub and fire pit fantastic!

Great location on the river!

Communication with Blue Ride Mountain Rentals staff was excellent! Check in was super easy. We enjoyed fishing on the river and the super convenient location. The kitchen is well stocked with pans, dishes, glasses and mugs, and also has some basic spices and cooking oil. An unexpected bonus was the plentiful firewood provided by the host. One concern: The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are steep and were difficult for our senior dog. Also, the games downstairs are not in good working order. Otherwise, this is a great place - we definitely look forward to coming back!

We had to wait 30 minutes for cleaning lady. Kitchen chairs were all broken or cracked. Couch was disgusting, old blueberries under it. Barbecue was filthy and hot tub had not been cleaned and had no chemicals. Staircase is terrifying and not good for any age. Heating was funky and the main fireplace was out of commission. Also when you book for a week you should get more toilet paper than just one roll and more than 2 dishwasher pods. Maybe have a weekend kit and a week kit. The lighting is also terrible, maybe invest in some better lights that work. Very disappointed in the amount of money I paid and then the cleaning people leave a tip envelope, I paid a big cleaning deposit, maybe they should pay her more. Luckily we we were with family and we made the best of it and had a great time on our adventures.

Kids are begging to go back

I can't say enough good things about this getaway. It's a home that you can check into and not need to leave. So much to enjoy inside and outside of the property. We did a family vacation with ages ranging from mid 50's to 5 and we all had a great stay. 3 weeks later and my 5 year old is still asking to go back. We loved all the fireplaces and the cozy feeling of the cabin. We did a Walmart grocery delivery the morning we got there but there is a Ingles just down the road. We will definitely book here again. Highly recommend.

Awesome all around

I stayed here with some friends for a bachelorette weekend. The house was perfect! Great location, awesome view, and plenty of space for everyone. We loved it and now everyone wants to come back with their families!

Snow tubing trip

Overall great trip. We went up to go to Hawks nest snow tubing. Location was great in proximity to the Hawks nest. Views of the river behind house were wonderful. Slightly sketchy entrance to the neighborhood but nothing to worry about. Would definitely stay here again.

the Setting is perfect, the house is ok

The setting on the river is spectacular. To say the house is rustic and outdated is a kind understatement. We did enjoy sitting out on the deck during a huge rainstorm. The stairs are quite steep (and the ones going to upstairs have open risers). I would not recommend for older folks or very young kids .

Fishing Paradise

Cabin was clean and check-in was easy. Great location on the Watagua river. Good for fishing. Very close to restaurants in Boone. NIce private road that leads to cabin. Look forward to my next trip there.

Relaxing

There were six adults for our stay. The cabin was spacious and well equipped. I was skeptical about the window a/c units at first, but they kept the entire cabin cool and comfortable. Our favorite part was the river access behind the cabin... We had such a good time! We were pleased with our stay. Just a heads up, the driveway in is very narrow.

Great Vacation, true memory maker!!

Draggin Fly was amazing! We all thoroughly enjoyed the mountain retreat! While the goal was to ski, I think the whole gang had just as much fun if not more enjoying Draggin Fly. The kids can't stop raving about the trip, playing on the rocks of the river and enjoying family time around the fire pit. It was indeed a great place to remember "Papa" our father that past away in September. A true lifelong fisherman, and fisher of men! We know he was with us in spirit enjoying the Draggin Fly experience!!

Could be better

Heating in general is lacking. Lots of remote space/fireplace gas heaters make for a gassy smell in the house. The place is clean but could use some upgrades in the kitchen with pans. I'm being a bit picky but for the money they are charging and fact that this place is booked a lot they could afford to invest in a few basics to improve the stay.

Awesome Weekend Getaway

We rented this cabin to recognize my Daughter’s college graduation. My Family and I enjoyed staying here so much. It was so clean and well stocked! Upon arrival it was very welcoming and cozy. We packed up our entire kitchen as we planned to cook over the weekend and this place had everything we could have asked for. After seeing the staircase my daughter immediately said I have got to go buy a baby gate then she opened the closet and there were 4 baby gates! The owners really have thought of everything! Thank you so much for letting us stay at your cabin! We are already discussing our next trip!

Timing is everything

Great cabin and property. Would do again, in spring. Metal roof and no insulation was loud during rain storms. Or, sleep in the great basement. Outstanding spring/summer retreat.

Great house by the water

We chose this house because of the river that runs through the back of the property. It was beautiful to sit and listen and watch it on the deck. My teens and golden retriever loved it. The house is in a great location, not far from groceries stores, restaurants in Boone and Blowing Rock. Banner Elk is a bit farther. The original Mast General Store is only a mile or 2 away. There was beautiful woodland scenery all around the house as well. We didn't get to use the fire pit but it is situated near the water with beautiful views. The house was comfortable, generally well stocked for cooking, and had lots of seating. We would have liked more towels but this is only a minor flaw. This house is in the woods near a river in an area of NC where it rains a lot, and I mean a lot. Therefore the house has a little bit of a damp smell but this is to be expected. with the level of moisture the house is surrounded by. It didn't really bother us but I mention this only because if you have members of your party who are very sensitive or allergic to possible mold, you may want to choose a different house. Let me be clear, we did not see any mold of any kind. This is just a heads up for people with severe allergies. We would definitely use Blue Ridge Rentals again.
