Villaggio di Edelweiss: Tour e Visite Guidate

We did arrive a bit early at 2:30 pm, and was advised that our room was not ready, but would be in about 1 hour. Were advised that we would be on the 3rd floor (we did put in a request for highest floor over 6 months ago). At 4pm, I was advised "not much longer". Not great....check in is at 4pm and room was not ready. I did advise of my displeasure and front desk staff just said "I get it"...no apology!! Not even after we received our keys. You would think that there would have been an apology - for the rate that we paid....I would have expected the room to be ready at check in time. Kitchen is not greatly stocked for cooking items. Hot tub....was not very hot, and jets did not seem to work. Friday morning...the cleaning staff were cleaning the room above us at 9am...and very loud - almost like they were throwing things around and jumping. Then on Saturday morning...the people in the room above us must have had kids...and they were jumping, stomping...and this started at 7:30am.

The good: The room was nice and well appointed. The living room, bedroom and kitchen were very nice and clean. Comfortable bed and furniture. The staff via Expedia’s messaging were fine and responsive. The bad: Last minute notice regarding major renovations in the area we were staying. Noisy from 9-5. The registration process for the parkade was a gong show. The tub was stained and had enough hairs in it to put off my partner who really wanted to have a bath. There was only one single pack of coffee mate so if you like cream in your morning coffee or tea, bring your own gear. It’s Canmore, so expect a train through town often (this sounds worse than it is).
