Welcome to Mistletoes in the Sand, a stunning three-story home just steps from the beach, designed for the ultimate shore living experience. As you enter the first floor, you'll find two cozy bedrooms and a full bathroom, along with expansive front and back porches that invite you to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening breeze.Moving up to the second floor, you’ll discover a spacious master bedroom complemented by an exquisite bathroom featuring a luxurious stand-up shower, a relaxing jacuzzi tub, and double sinks. This level also includes an additional bedroom and yet another back deck for even more outdoor relaxation.The third floor boasts an open-concept living space that’s perfect for family gatherings, flooded with natural light from four skylights and two generous decks. You can enjoy game time in the designated family area or kick back and watch your favorite shows in the formal living room. The kitchen, designed for the chef in your group, seamlessly wraps around to the dining area, making entertaining a breeze. Step out onto the deck to take in stunning sunset views, and appreciate the circular layout of the third floor, which provides everyone their own space while keeping everyone connected.With the beach entrance just across the street, this colorful and relaxing home is ideally situated for your seaside adventures. We also welcome your furry friends, so please let us know if you plan to bring them along! Pet rent ($150 pet fee, $75 for additional) will be quoted and adjusted if necessary after booking, and linens are included for your convenience. Please bring plenty of beach towels for your stay!

Location was good. The check in was a bit ridiculous as the realty office closes at 3 pm on Sunday but you can’t check in until 4pm. They do not attempt to bridge the gap. Not helpful. The house was fine but the living area and kitchen are on the 2nd floor. The yard is overgrown which attracts mosquitoes. All in all it was an ok stay.

Bit of a climb but still a great place and location

I'll get the biggest downside out of the way first: this is a 3 story property and the main living area and kitchen is on the third floor. So this might not be a great location for anyone with hip/knee problems and definitely not very handicap accessible. But it is an otherwise great property - clean, spacious, easy access to the beach and within 10-15 mins of Cape May proper. A wonderful place to stay on the Cape.

Wonderful

We had such a great vacation. The house was great. Loved that there were 2 separate living areas on 3rd floor. Perfect for us grown ups and teens. Three different decks was a plus too. We never felt we were on top of each other. We chose largely because of it being pet friendly and across from the bay. The entrance to beach was two houses down which made it so easy. House is equipped with chairs, boards, bikes and plenty of games. Linens and towels were made available. While I heard some complain about being posted on VRBO but having to deal with a local realtor, Coastline was very easy to work with. Would not hesitate to book again in the future.

BEWARE on this one Higher Fees & Communication Chaos

My recent interaction with this 'Vrbo' rental left me feeling extremely frustrated. I have been using VRBO for many years and never encountered this kind of aggravation in the process. Here’s what happened: Pushed to a Real Estate Agent: After expressing interest in renting the property, the Vrbo platform unexpectedly directed me to a local real estate agent. This sudden shift in communication channels was confusing and inconvenient. I had initially chosen Vrbo for its direct booking process, and now I found myself dealing with a third party. I had to use the realty payment portal and there were several issues with access and fixes needed that took more time than I bargained for. Also I was charged fees by both rental agency & VRBO!! I also had to travel to the realty office 20 minutes from the property to pick up and drop keys; in hind sight the realtor should meet renters at the property. Other Cons: House could use a deep clean. Dead bugs, spider webs and old leaves. Smell of dust every time heat kicked on. Everything is NOT brand new. TV in main living space stopped working in middle of our stay and was Easter weekend so NO ONE to come and help us make it right. PROS: We made the best of it; linens/bedding was fine and overall the house was comfortable as listed online. Location fabulous.

Lovely stay

First time in Cape May. Location was lovely. Quiet neighborhood with eady beach access on the Bay. House was well maintained. Appreciated extras like bikes and beach chairs. Enjoyed the many porches for coffee in the AM.

Nice stay

House was nice, although two island bar stools were wobbly. There was a leak during a rain storm near the deck door by the TV room. Outdoor Grill is very dirty and old. Cleaners could have done a better job cleaning the island, the island grill top and the kitchen trash can area.

Pleasantly Surprised!

The property is located on the opposite side of the street from the beach, is pet friendly, and has three levels of living space, with the top third level as the main living area and kitchen. We anticipated a long walk or drive to beach access but were so please to see it is literally only a couple of houses down where we got public access! The beach was not crowded and we felt we could safely leave our chairs and umbrella there for a short while and go back to the house. Traveling with multi-generations and small pets, we were uncertain as to the layout of the house being ideal, but EVERYONE loved it! The grandchildren thought is was cool to have the kitchen at the top. There were many balconies to relax on. The home was super clean and one would never know pets were there! We had 6 adults and 3 kids under 8, plus three dogs each under 5 pounds. There was plenty of bedroom space and table space for the family. The only glitch was a broken oven, but the owner supplied a counter top convection oven, which sufficed. The coffee pot was a Kuerig, so plan ahead for that. The kitchen was well stocked, otherwise. We are going to reserve ahead for next summer and rent this home again! My grand-daughter, and the rest of us, can't wait to come back!

WONDERFUL VACATION HOME AND LOCATION

Very clean and well-equipped vacation home with great access to a private beach. Also within reasonable driving distance to other beaches, attractions, restaurants and shopping, as well as the Cape May Ferry. Would recommend this property to anyone looking at a rental in the Cape May area.

Family fun

This property was perfect for our extended family stay. We each had a comfortable and spacious bedroom. The 2 full & a half bath were very accommodating. Thankful for the large stocked kitchen & laundry room. Helpful to be so close to the bay beach for the little ones and not too far a drive to the wildwood beaches. Quiet. Low traffic area close to amenities.
