This property has real potential.Pros: Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, two of which appeared recently renovated. Towels and plush bathrobes were a nice plus. The property has plenty of space for us. The backyard is huge with beautiful greenery. We enjoyed a nice trail walk nearby during our stay.Challenges: On arrival, one bedroom door lock was not secure, so we had to barricade the door with furniture and spend the first night feeling unsafe. The host didn’t see our Vrbo message in time, so the lock wasn’t fixed until the next day. The door led directly to a sunroom with backyard access, adding to the concern. This room is on a lower level, functions like an extension of the sunroom, and has no curtains, so it doesn’t feel private. Guests who value privacy may want to factor this.The house also wasn’t thoroughly cleaned: cobwebs throughout, a dirty bed cover, and bobby pins left on the bathroom sink from a previous guest. The sunroom was too dirty to sit in, and some furniture and the outdoor swings were worn or broken.To the owner and staff’s credit, the local team fixed the lock the next day and brought a clean sheet cover. The host also offered a fair discount. Staff were responsive, communication was good, and house rules were standard.A respectful and responsive host makes a big difference to us.Overall, it’s a home with good bones and helpful staff.
