“The house worked out very well for our family. Well located for all we wished to do. Maria did a great job setting up beds to accommodate our additional person. We did not cook any meals as we were gone all day but if one so desired everything was available. As long as you have a car I would highly recommend this property!!”

“This property was a great place to start our visit to Iceland. The beds were comfy and it was a 30 minute walk to the downtown area. There was also a nice trail along the sea just 5 minutes away. Communication with the hostess was quick and easy. We would totally stay here again on our next visit!”

“This place was really nice! It’s an old house, but very cute. Everything works and is very comfortable. It is fully furnished. It has a huge TV and many interesting books that we enjoyed. It’s also walkable to the harbor + some other bakeries and activities. Andrew l, the host was very nice and helped us a lot with getting comfortable. He also gave us many awesome recommendations nearby! Highly recommend this place. ”

“Astra and John are amazing hosts with a beautiful home that is absolutely perfect for an Iceland vacation. I highly recommend renting from Astra and John! They are lovely and so helpful with everything. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to visit again someday!”

“Me and my boyfriend had a good stay at this property. It has parking for anyone hiring a car. The host was great, offering breakfast and lifts if needed. There was a language barrier but anyone who is not Spanish can just use google translate and it is easy enough. We had full use of his flat including the kitchen etc. Cheaper alternative to hotels and a nicer option than hostels. ”

“Perfect location to explore Reykjavik. The home itself was charming with ample room to be together after a day of exploring outside the city. Parking on the street was easy and inexpensive. The hand-built "hot pot" (aka: hottub) was a major plus especially for one of our party. Would definitely stay here again.”

“A clean, comfortable, and cozy family home. Though buses or taxis are required to get to downtown and local supermarkets, the proximity to a complex with a large public swimming pool, small zoo, botanical gardens, and one amazing trampoline makes it an ideal location for families with children who need a break from sightseeing. Our host was flexible and helpful and we enjoyed our stay!”

"Hotel super comodo per la posizione, a 2-300 metri dai check-in e dagli autonoleggi, impagabile nel caso di un volo la mattina presto (o un arrivo la sera tardi). In generale però, l'hotel non ha nulla di affascinante (rispetto ad altri luoghi in Islanda) e, a dispetto del nome, non ha nemmeno una terrazza dove tentare di vedere l'Aurora. Ci hanno offerto la colazione, nonostante non l'avessimo acquistata"

"Al check-in ho presentato la carta di identità e non è stata accettata e mi è stato richiesto il passaporto che dall’Italia non è obbligatorio, lo staff della reception dovrebbe essere informato su questo ed essere più disponibile e cordiale visto che é il primo impatto con la struttura. Il divano letto era scomodo e la stanza non ben insonorizzata, durante la notte si sentivano continuamente il rumore di porte sbattute dagli altri ospiti. L’hotel è in una posizione comoda ma è sprovvisto di parcheggio. Colazione buona. In generale non ho ritrovato l’atmosfera e la qualità di un boutique hotel o di un 4 stelle."
