The cabin stays pleasant in the winter months with a charming propane "wood stove" heater, creating a tranquil retreat no matter the season. The kitchen and bathroom offer the essentials. Drive to Sugarbush (both Mount Ellen or Lincoln Peak) in less than 5 minutes. Mad River Glen is 8 minutes away. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets with mountain views peaking from behind a private treed yard.

Whether you’re unwinding inside or stepping out to explore, this wonderful cabin offers a peaceful escape. The town of Waitsfield is only 7 minutes down the road if you want to pop into Mehurons for groceries, or grab dinner and drinks at Lawson's or Mad Taco.

While the cabin has many rustic, no-frills qualities, guests can still enjoy high-speed wifi, on demand hot water, access to streaming services, and heated kitchen floors. Another bonus: check-in and check-out are flexible, so guests can drop off their things first thing in the morning, and head straight to the mountain! Or, enjoy a full day of skiing/riding and head back to the cabin when the lifts close to pack up and go home on your last day. Just coordinate with the owner when you book!

This is the owner's full-time home so there will be some little quirks - including a fabulous catio right off the kitchen, a loft that will be inaccessible to guests, and some less Intagrammable corners of the property. If you're looking for a simple place to relax and unwind but mostly intend to be out and about (on the slopes or in town), this is the right place for you!
