Immerso tra le colline boscose della foresta nazionale di George Washington, High View Hideaway offre un rifugio sereno dallo stress della vita urbana ed è la base perfetta per godere di tutto ciò che l'area di Lost River ha da offrire dalle escursioni e dalla pesca al ciclismo e altro ancora. Completamente rinnovata nel 2019, questa accogliente cabina offre una grande camera da letto matrimoniale e un bagno completo, nonché una zona giorno / pranzo aperta, una cucina rinnovata, un grande ponte e un portico schermato perfetto per ammirare le viste ei suoni della natura.

Lo spazio
High View Hideaway vanta una cucina a pianta aperta ben attrezzata e una zona soggiorno / pranzo che si apre su un grande ponte incastonato tra le cime degli alberi e un portico schermato, perfetto per un caffè mattutino o un drink al tramonto. La stufa a legna offre ulteriore fascino e un'ottima fonte di calore nelle notti fredde.

La camera da letto presenta soffitti a volta, un letto matrimoniale e un accogliente angolo lettura con un grande armadio walk-in con scaffalature fatte a mano che offre un ampio spazio di archiviazione per tutto il tuo abbigliamento da fuga.

La zona giorno è il luogo perfetto per coccolarsi con un libro, giocare o guardare un film sulla nostra TV HD a grande schermo; offre inoltre spazio aggiuntivo per dormire con un divano letto a una piazza e mezza.

Mentre The Hideaway è il luogo perfetto per staccare completamente la spina e distendersi, comprendiamo che le pressioni dei giorni nostri potrebbero richiedere una connessione al mondo esterno, quindi abbiamo cablato la cabina con Internet ad alta velocità in fibra ottica e accesso Wi-Fi, come oltre a una TV a grande schermo con Amazon Fire TV in modo da poter guardare il tuo film, evento sportivo o serie televisiva preferiti.

La cabina si trova su 4 acri di terreno collinare boscoso frequentato da tutte le forme di fauna selvatica. Non è raro svegliarsi con i cervi che scrutano attraverso la finestra della camera da letto o godersi uno spuntino di mezzogiorno tra la vegetazione lussureggiante.

Restful retreat

My 26 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the High View Hideaway.  Although it dropped to 17 degrees during our visit, we were always comfortable.  The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed to relax and enjoy our trip.  The cabin is a bit off the trail, but we knew that going in and we were easily able to find some nice local trails to explore.  The Big Schloss trail was our favorite.  Since we both work remotely, I should also mention that the WIFI worked just fine.  Thanks Cynthia and Jonathan for a great stay!

Comfortable/Quiet Cabin

Upon arrival, the cabin was very clean and well-organized. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our week-long vacation over New Year's. The location is very secluded, and it was nice to get away from the busy life to relax and recover here.

Perfect Peace and Quiet

This is truly my “happy place.” This was my second visit and it was just as delightful of a respite the second time around. The house has everything you need and is in a perfect location to just stay in and relax. Observing the woods from the porch is wonderful. I’ll be back!

Cozy yet modern where it counts

Loved my weekend at the cabin! It's a small, charming cabin in the woods, every window looking out to more trees. But it also has kick-ass wi-fi and a nice TV and a really comfy bed. Exactly what I needed for a break.

Lovely little Cabin in the Woods

This a very quiet, peaceful little getaway. There are no neighbors visible from the property when the trees are in foliage, although I suspect in the winter months you might be able to see one or two. There was a neighbor doing some shooting one night, but that's to be expected in West Virginia. Right out the back door are miles of state park forest to hike, and there are official trails that begin a short drive away. It rained for much of my stay, but that was fine, as the screened in porch made for a great place to contemplate the woods and the rain and a good book. It's also a great place to sit in the dark, just listening. Town is about a 20 minute drive away. I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy cabin in the forest.

Cozy cabin for 2-3 adults or 2 adults +1-2 kids. Pros: Loved being surrounded by beautiful trees, close to multiple outdoor activities we visited, the rustic decor, screened patio & the deck. Nice shower & comfortable bed. Easy check in & out. Cons: no microwave & the grill was broken which didn't matter much to us as we brought a small air fryer. Had a great stay here.

The perfect getaway for 2

I haven’t had such a great time in a long time. Just totally unplugged with my husband. This place is so quaint and coz. Country/Nordic vibes which I love. Super clean too! Did some crosswords, enjoyed the sounds and scenery, and watched the amazing stars at night, you could see the Milky Way clearly! Perfect perfect perfect!!!

Great place to get away from it all

We had a great stay, so peaceful & secluded. The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us. Relaxing time sitting on the back deck & screened porch. No cell service, but that didn't bother us. There is wifi so it was no problem finding directions to where we wanted to go. It is quite a drive to any stores or restaurants, but we were there to get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life, so it was perfect. Would definitely book again.

Beautiful peace and solitude

Amazing getaway!

The MOST serene location possible. It has an overwhelming air of peace and there will not be a moment of your stay where you’re not lost in the beauty of the outdoors! The cabin was amazing and the perfect place to get away. So clean, charming, and it made our stay all the more perfect!

Best Getaway Ever!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quiet weekend away. Somewhere where we couldn't see any neighbors and could just have a campfire and look at the stars. Not only was High View Hideaway the perfect location for this getaway but the cabin was absolutely gorgeous. We both felt spoiled. It was small enough to be cozy without feeling cramped. The porches were probably our favorite part of the cabin. Sitting out and watching the sunrise or set with a hot cup of tea/coffee was so relaxing. Thank you Jon and Cynthia for a wonderful stay!!

Practically perfect in every way

This cabin was everything I’d hoped to have for a solo mini-vacation. The cabin is very private, set among beautiful woods, with an extremely comfortable bed and a cozy living room, a very well-equipped kitchen, great WiFi and tasteful decor... all for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back!
