“We had such a wonderful experience during our last minute overnight get away we decided to extend our stay for another night! We loved the peaceful serenity of the balcony view, the comfortable bed and pillows, the warm friendly hostess Lisa ( who by the way gave us all the recommendations for our meals) and the relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere. “The two owners greet you at the reception desk and immediately make you feel at home. I had numerous conversations with them over the course of my two day stay. Anything I asked for, I got. Breakfast was made fresh each day by one of the owners. Having stayed in 15 hotels in the last 30 days, I would rate this the highest. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely stay there again if the need arises. 10 out of 10 :-)”

“I love staying at the Mountaineer. I stay there every time I go to Vermont. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Parking is very easy good location, central to many restaurants and other amenities. Very nice coffee bar beautiful pool for swimming. great atmosphere. Love the easy check-inprocess. Everything is digital no keys to worry about.”

“The Inn is situated near the top of a mountain and surrounded by other hilltops. There are trails that help you to reconnect with nature. Our room was lovely and comfortable. There is a attention to detail in the decor of this establishment which is both delightful and humorous.”

“This is one of the best country inns we ever tried: charming, cozy and friendly. The atmosphere is authentic and warm, as are the owners. The country and the woods surrounding are great, even the breakfast is excellent! We loved the room and also the sitting room, full of beautiful books.”
