Amazing Location! 4BR, 2BA chalet 5 min from Sugarbush and on golf course

Located 5 minutes from Sugarbush resort and along the 17th fairway of the Sugarbush golf course (a Robert Trent Jones Sr design), the Bayou Chalet is an ideal location for skiing, golf, mountain biking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing... or doing nothing while lounging on the expansive 2nd level deck overlooking the Mad River Valley. Inside, relax in the open living space, prepare meals in the well-appointed kitchen and unwind in the sauna. Air conditioning recently added.

Master BR upstairs (queen) with bath. 3 BRs on the lower level (2 with queens, one with 2 twins) with shared bath. House Sleeps 8 (6 adults, 2 children) comfortably. Important amenities are a large mudroom and a 3-burner Weber grill on deck for outdoor cooking. And, of course, the sauna!

The property was recently updated with new bedding in every room, a carefully appointed kitchen and sparkling clean throughout. Take advantage of this incredible location and immediate upgrades for a comfortable, relaxing, and fun vacation!

U14 Eastern Championships
We had a wonderful stay at the Bayou Chalet. We came with 2 Dads and our 2 sons for a 4 day ski race at Mt. Ellen at Sugarbush. The house was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and a great mud room for all of our gear. We were very close to both mountain bases and a short drive to Waitsfield. John the owner was super responsive and kept checking in to make sure we were having a good time. We all said that we loved the place and would definitely come back!

Family ski trip
Place was great. Plenty of room. House was very clean and comfortable Great location couple of minute drive to the mountain. John is a great host easy to get a hold of if needed. Hopefully we’ll be back for a summer or fall trip.

Great long weekend to ski at Sugarbush
We enjoyed a great long weekend staying at the Bayou Chalet and John was a wonderful host. We had 4 adults, 4 kids and the space worked out very well for us. House was very clean and offered all the amenities we needed for our stay. The mudroom entrance area was well utilized with all our ski equipment. We had great luck with the weather with snow and the proximity to Sugarbush Mountain (less than 5 min drive) helped us get in full days of skiing! John was flexible with check in and check out times as well.

Great Ski Getaway!
We loved our time at the Bayou Chalet! Perfect location for skiing. House was spacious and clean. John the owner was responsive and helpful all throughout. Loved the view of the mountains and quiet spot.

Great visit to this lovely chalet near Sugarbush. House was cozy and comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed. Centrally located within a few miles of both Sugarbush bases. John made sure everything went smoothly and was super responsive.

Mountain Biking Family Getaway
The Bayou Chateau was absolutely perfect for us, the grounds were perfectly kept, and all appliances/mattresses/linens were premium quality. Access to the main floor and deck was easy, which was a prime consideration for our elderly dog. Proximity to the MRV and bike trails, dining, and grocery/farmers markets was superb; as well as easy travel to tourist spots along rte 100. This was my 17th year visiting Vermont and Bayou Chalet is one of the best rentals we have had!

First Class Chalet
This spotless chalet, minutes from Sugarbush, has everything a guest might need: utensils, spices, high quality kitchen, bath & laundry soaps. The living space offers comfy seating and scenic views. The owner was immediately responsive to our questions and requests. We highly recommend this chalet to those looking for a restful and comfortable vacation.

Perfect Christmas Vacation Spot!
We loved the chalet for our destination family Christmas getaway! It was so comfortable and had everything we needed! The kitchen has all the necessary cooking and serving items. The beds are comfortable with nice bedding. The chalet was close to Sugarbush for skiing and we were able to sled on the golf course next to the house. John was amazing to work with. He was extremely responsive and wanted to assure all went well. The sauna was a bonus. I wish we could have used the fireplace but understand it’s an insurance issue. We would definitely return. It felt like a home away from home!!
