Location is lovely, free parking on site, modern rooms but dusty. Loved they had kids pool, my child enjoyed it. Receptionist on arrival did not inform me of amenities, breakfast times etc. I had to ask. I’ve never been to any hotel that hasn’t done this so very disappointing with a hotel of this level. I should have listened to the reviews about breakfast! Many of us had to keep asking for things such as sausages, bread, juice etc. staying with a child and having to wait 15 mins for food to come out when it’s a buffet breakfast was not ideal. Not to mention milk for the coffee machine was left out in the bottom cabinet not a refrigerator over this hot weekend. There was no children activities as stated on the website so I found myself doing day trips for the time we stayed. For the price paid, I’m very disappointed in the lack of customer service, quality of breakfast, lack of amenities. Would have rather spent the few extra hundred I spent on days out, on a hotel that actually delivered what was on the hotel listing prior to booking including kids activities. If I was only using a hotel as a base to sleep, I would have booked premier inn. Extremely upset with this when I wanted a relaxed stay.
