I found two roaches in my roam. One fell from the lamp inside my drink. The other one was found in the bathroom. The staff comped my parking but still this shouldn’t be happening. It grossed us out. Besides, the clerk, Carlos, who checked us in was very rude. I couldn’t understand what he was saying. After he had already lectured me that he didn’t want to repeat himself, he actually started yelling his words. It was almost comical. And all I said to him was “ I’m sorry but I can’t hear you!” - well, I had to say it twice, my bad! We stayed for four days. While everyone was friendly, he never greeted us. I wouldn't go back nor would I recommend this place.

The Holiday Inn in Alexandria, VA is a nice play to stay at if you're looking for transportation to Washington, D.C. via the Metro because the Holiday Inn is one block away from the Metro station.

The staff was great. They were helpful and accommondating. My only issue was that our bathroom needed attention. The mirror was falling apart and truly needed to be updated. The shower head was not great and the shower curtain did not stay closed. For the price I would have expected a property that was better maintained.

The location of hotel was excellent. Conveniently situated by metro, restaurants and downtown Alexandria. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful - from maids to reception to management. Highly recommend.

This was our second stay at this 1970s era property. It's a little long in the tooth but well cared for. It earns a fifth star based on the friendly staff. This is especially true in the food services area. We took the breakfast option. It costs more but is well worth it. The wait staff is a delight! You are only two blocks from the Metro and have Washington at your fingertips. If you're driving, there's ample free parking. Count on a clean and comfortable room.

This was my third time staying at this hotel. The room I had, had an awful smell but when I mentioned it, I was able to change rooms right away which was great! The staff were nice especially the dinning room staff. The rooms are a little outdated and need to be redone but other than that it was a nice stay.

Huge decline from last year, will stay somewhere else next year. We booked our reservation over 9 months before our stay. When we arrived, we got our room keys and realized we were not in the correct room type. They offered a $30 refund, which was less than the difference in rooms. The soap is our room was empty, and the towels were frayed. The middle elevator has things hanging off of the walls. Unfriendly check in. Completely night and day from our wonderful experience last year.

I liked the breakfast and close to metro station I didn’t like my tv didn’t work, ice machines didn’t work, faucets in shower were loose. Just little things were not working it missing from the room

There were hidden parking fees, which made us extremely upset. Also, we got to know the maintenance man, because he had to come up repeatedly. He fixed a light and had to work on our heat--which still was a little strange-- and we didn't have hot water the first few days. He said to let it run for up to 15 minutes if need be for it to get warmed up, since it had to come down 8 floors from the boiler room, and most of the rooms higher up weren't occupied so the water was getting cold up there.

Thank you Karen for your feedback. Our website clearly states that parking is 15 a night, per car. Third parties also note that our property charges for parking. This charge has been approved and made known since June 1st, 2023. We apologize for any other inconveniences that may have occurred.

The hotel was in a great location for my family’s visit to DC. I wish I would have known about the indoor pool not being open. However,we will stay again when we visit DC in the summer.
