Excellent short stay apartment

I stayed at the property for about 10 days as a local resident because I was having work done in my home. I chose based on the location because it’s walking distance from where I live but overall if I was visiting the city I would like this location as well. There are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby and a Safeway right next door, the Columbia Heights metro is about a 15 minute walk and there are buses right out front and it’s easy access to get downtown to the sites. Alicia was very responsive. The place is small but very functional and had everything I needed for a short day. The building was quiet and felt safe. The price is excellent.

Poor property cleanliness, broken elevators, building under construction, and unresponsive host

We were very disappointed in the stay. It started with incorrect check in instructions. Then the apartment was unclean - dirty sink, dirty stove, dirty pan in oven, sticky floors, no toilet paper. After that there was a broken shade, broken sink faucet, and non functional suction shower holder. Also the fitted sheets didn’t stay on the bed and the sleeper couch was falling apart with its faux plastic cover flaking. Then to add insult to injury the elevator frequently stopped working for days on end. For someone who is disabled (on of us) this made the stay physically unbearable. The host was unresponsive, belligerent, and finally just stopped communicating. I would not recommend staying here even at the inexpensive price.

Perfect spot

I needed a place to stay and work for a week in DC, and this condo was perfect. First, listing is accurate: the condo was exactly as expected: natural light, clean, modern, and the main amenity I needed... high-speed Internet. The building is being upgraded, but that had zero negative impact on me. Great restaurants and bars within a short walk. Easy Uber or Metro to meetings and attractions. Host was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Great stay, spotless apartment

My wife and I had a good stay in this lovely apartment. The apartment is gorgeous, has a great location in the heart of Adams Morgan near grocery stores and restaurants, and was spotlessly clean when we checked in. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you might need, and the photos on Vrbo.com are an accurate reflection of this great apartment. Finally, I should add that Alicia (the owner/manager) is a kind person. The apartment building--not the apartment itself--had several maintenance problems during our month-long stay: a flood in the lobby, two elevator outages that lasted a total of three days, and the trash chute being out of commission for the last four days. Maintenance in the building seems to be a problem. Even with this minor maintenance issues, we had a great stay. It would be hard to find a nicer, better-located apartment in Adams Morgan. I heartily recommend the apartment.

Excellent location and extremely well appointed condo - everything we needed and more! Self check in / out was easy. This was the perfect space for a longer (2-week) stay...MUCH better than a cramped hotel room.

As published! It’s a great deal

It was exactly as described! Super clean. Alicia is so nice and very responsive when you need anything! The neighborhood is okay. It’s right next to a really vibrant street but as soon as you walk out of the front entrance there is a 7/11 so it seems like a lot of unwell homeless people gather there. That’s the only downfall. Otherwise, great listing!

The property was well represented. There were problems with not being able to gain access to lock box due to the app not being updated with the right code. Upon arrival the AC was broken and we had to be relocated late at night since it was during a heatwave. Cable was down but got fixed. The washing machine pump broke with most of my clothes in it and I was unable to get to my clothes for two days because the door was locked shut. Alicia, property manager, was very helpful and proactive with assisting us through these problems. We were grateful for her.

Excellent property, location and host

We stayed here for two weeks. As advertised, the apt. was immaculate, organized and purposeful - all your necessary kitchen, bathroom and cleaning needs were provided for. All the appliances are brand new. The apt. hallway is quite and you really don’t here much outside sporadic street traffic noise. This place is perfectly situated - within walking distance to two key metros. It’s right around the corner of the 18th street fun, and just a 10 minute walk to the more upscale and civilized Woodley Park area. Wish I had booked for a full month; very much recommended and Alicia is attentive and responsive.

Fabulous!

The apartment was exactly as advertised in a great neighborhood with multiple restaurants, shopping (grocery, pharmacy, cleaners), all within an easy walk. Alicia was great--she responded quickly and attended graciously to the minor hiccups that always go with a new living situation. We were there for a month and appreciated everything about this place--really easy to be in. Carol & Scott McKibben

Adams Morgan apartment

I stayed at this property for approximately eight weeks while working at a summer internship. I loved the apartment. It was clean, spacious and well-equipped with kitchen items and even had a wine fridge! It comfortably sleeps two, and there were plenty of extra towels and washcloths. The washer and dryer (combo) were broken for the first couple of weeks, which was a bit of a hassle, but the property owner reimbursed me for the cost of me doing my laundry. This is definitely a great location, with easy walks to the Red line or the Yellow line, plus a Metro bus which picks up less than .25 miles down Columbia Street. Plus there are lots of wonderful restaurants in Adams Morgan, which is a fun, eclectic neighborhood, plus DuPont Circle is an easy bus ride, about a mile away. The parking pass was helpful, but make sure to pay attention to the street signs which indicate that cars have to be moved on certain days due to DC street sweeping laws. Overall, a great stay.

Great place & neighborhood

The apartment is clean and modern. This is located in a very active neighborhood that was loads of fun to hang out in. We had drinks in "Then Line" across the street and almost daily went to Tryst (the local & great coffee shop). The free (yes free) Circulator bus is a block away and takes you either to the Zoo or downtown. There is street noise at night, but that's the flip side of the neighborhood being active and fun (lots of places to listen to music or have drinks or, as we did, go to the comedy club).

Perfect for Travel RN

I am a travel nurse who stayed in this apartment for 6 months and I loved it! This apartment is beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. Newly renovated with chic decor! Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances , dishes, and gorgeous granite counters. Hardwood floors throughout the apartment, marble floors in bathroom. Washer/dryer in unit! Flat screen TV’s in both living room and bedroom. Centrally located in Adams Morgan with grocery stores, convenient stores, and restaurants in walking distance. If you have a car, parking isn’t bad with the neighborhood parking pass. I highly recommend this apartment for any young professional in need of short term furnished housing. Many of my coworkers who were also travel nurses adored my apartment while I lived here. Everyone agreed it’s a gem!

Nice, modern place in AdMo

The apartment was clean, chic, very well located, and the perfect size for 1-2 people. It had everything I needed, several nice extras, and a super comfortable bed. As others have mentioned, the front door is a bit annoying because it doesn't open all the way.

A Great Stay in a Perfect Location

Various Resturants around. There is a 7 Eleven, Safeway and CVS Riggt next door to the building which is convinent. Besides the cleaning hiccup at arrival, Alicia made sure to contact me and corrected it right away. She was nothing short from wonderful as a host. She sent over a case of water and other accommodating supplies to make up for the small issue and even sent me lovely flowers. She always responded on time to assist. The place was well organized to provide a clutter-free stay. It was an amazing experience overall

Great apartment, should work on the clining!

We had a great stay, very comfortable. Should work on the clining, floor was sticky and dirty and had to mopped when we arrived at 12 am. On the last night checking if some thing had felt of under the bed, we saw a lot of garbage under it, kind of unpleasant to think we slept with all the garbage in the floor underneath us. But over all we liked the apartment and if we come back to DC we definitely stay here again. Thank You very much!

I loved it! On a very busy street I found privacy and luxury.

I loved it! You can tell she has good taste and style, the property is up to speed with 2017 and all of its Technology. The place is small and cozy, it has everything you need, perfectly fitted and clean. You don't feel cluttered or claustrophobic. Organized and has a washer and dryer. In a place that's modern and hip. Very private the middle of the city's hustle and bustle. Only thing I would work on is the front door. It gets stuck and doesn't open all the way it can get annoying at times. Other than that don't change any other thing it's perfect.

Excellent, well-appointed space in an amazing neighborhood!

I chose this property because Adams Morgan is my preferred neighborhood for my very frequent business trips to DC; however, I will choose it in the future because of what a great home-away it was, and for the great service and hospitality provided by the owner. With access to the building secured behind a locked gate and the unit being on the 5th floor, I felt very safe and secure at all times during my visit and it was amazingly quiet for being located in the heart of a busy neighborhood. With access to the unit via an elevator or stairs for the athletic, it is very convenient and the unit itself is comfortable and well-appointed, with everything in perfect working order. Looking forward to my next opportunity to stay!

Immaculate and Comfy!

Awesome location, comfy bed, everything is new and spotless! We didn't use the kitchen, but it is well stocked with coffee, spices, pots and pans. The unit is at the back of the building so is very quiet with lots of light. Top floor so no footsteps above. Stayed in lots of places and hotels in DC and this one is the best!
