“We had a great stay at Family Batcave Homestay. It felt like a more authentic experience. Our host was lovely. He gave us a tour with his wife, or he organized for us to visit a variety of sites in and around Battambang. Plus, the food was great. I highly recommend it. ”

“Staff is extremely warm and attentive to the guests'needs. Nice premises and swimming pool. Rooms are large and well furnished with natural materials in accordance with Khmer tradition. I greatly appreciated the attention to the environment and to sustainability, such as the efforts to avoid using plastic. Good choice of a la carte breakfast. Not having a breakfast buffet minimizes food waste. We had dinner here and the food was fresh and tasty, prices ok. ”

“The sausage that came with the western breakfast was rancid. Did not use hotel restaurant for the remainder of the stay, including the breakfast. The air conditioner was fine but the total lack of construction insulation kept the room warm. Daylight can be seen coming thru the roof. The floor tile is scarred worn. No value here 😢 ”

“The pool was closed off for a meeting however this was all throughout our trip. Nobody was in this area when we went to the pool and we were not allowed to use this. Communication was poor and all items needed to be asked about nothing was in the room I.e shampoo, toilet roll etc. Location is further out from city but short TukTuk ride away. Ac was not working as we had incorrect remote in room and the fridge was dirty and turned off without key in room. ”

“Hotel was clean. Beds not comfortable, breakfast was decent. Hotel check in was fast and efficient. Very little staff interaction to speak of. ”

“Staff were great! Living areas were clean. But they had renovations going on. Relaxing by the pool was difficult when you have to listen to tile cutting with dust blowing everywhere between 9-5 everyday. Pools were not very clean(possibly dusty) Not being allowed to bring your own drinks into your room is on odd unwelcome rule also.”
