a short break in the Monterey Bay area
Very comfortable housing. Well equipped kitchen. Surroundings/gardens were very nice and well kept. Getting down to and back from the beach was tricky but it was a calm setting.

Wonderful place in the dunes!
We loved this beautiful condo! It is well-equipped, light and roomy, and has everything you need for a perfect weekend at the beach. It fit our group of 5 perfectly, and we loved being able to access the beach in a matter of seconds. The owners were great communicators as well. We’ll be back!

Off the beaten path
Great if you just want to hang out at the beach and want quiet. If you are looking for a little more excitement, you will have to drive there. Property is not fancy but will do for a couple of nights.

Great place for family
The condo worked well for our family. The location was great. We really enjoyed the beach as well as the nature pond walk. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful days
Everything was perfect, we loved the apartment and the surrounding. The long sandy beach is one minute away and very clean, no waste at all. The communication with the owner was very good and quick. If California wasn't so far away from Germany we certainly would come again. Thank you very much!

Nice place just steps from beach!
We could hear the ocean from the patio, and the cool breezes were wonderful. Beds were comfy. Bath and kitchen had everything we needed. Quiet but filled with birdsong and ocean sounds. Fantastic.

We had a wonderful relaxing time. The condo was spotless and just as described! Thank you. My only feedback would be to upgrade the coffee machine as we do not use Keurig pods! A minor issue I realize. Thank you again. Lovely unit and lovely location.

Great spot
We chose this for it'd proximity to our son who lives in a group home. The place was a gem, the ocean was healing. I have a bummer knee so being so close to the water was a relief. Beds comfy. Kitchen supplied well! Stay here, you'll be glad you did!

Great location close to the ocean and Monterey Bay. Saw seals and a dolphin while walking along the beach. Property was just as advertised.

Good convenience oceanfront condo unit overall.
We spent 3 days two night at our unit and had a good experience overall with some minor improvements that might be helpful: 1) one of the nail screws that holds down the white cable in the living room got loosened and flipped upside down and caused one of our young kids to stub her feet. 2) We discovered that there were some residual sand on the bedsheet cover in the master bedroom that were not cleaned off well. 3) The BB grill did not have a bottom grease catcher, therefore, there were grease drippings left over from previous usage on the wood deck. We had to use a plate to catch the drippings. In addition, we did not find any BB grill cleaning tools and had to resort to other cleaning methods.

Great location right on the beach!
We loved this beach! The beach is right over the dune and it’s clean and beautiful. The place is well accommodated and spacious. I hate to add this but the beds and pillows are really uncomfortable. Mattress pad on the main room makes you sweat and the other beds were noisy, sagging and have thick, stiff bed-pillows. Pro-tip…new mattresses are pretty cheap at Costco!

Great location and communication with owner
Went for a quick girls trip. Location is perfect. Unit is as described-right up against the dune, kitchen nicely appointed and mostly updated, but the rest of the unit is still pretty dated. Beautiful walking beach and cool breezes were wonderful. Owners have a comprehensive binder of suggestions for local restaurants and activities, including clear check out procedures, which we appreciated. While the master bedroom was comfortable for one person in our group, the beds in the 2nd bedroom were pretty awful-the king bed was hard and soooo squeaky (just rolling over woke up the person in the other bed), and the other (full sized bed) was far too soft-the person in that bed moved into the master. If you have children in that 2nd room, it may not be a big deal. Noise levels from neighbors varied a lot, which is to be expected when in a condo, but naps weren't possible without airpods in place. Everyone from housekeepers to grounds people were wonderful.

Very nice and relaxing
This property is in an awesome location, well equipped and, a nice size for six people . The manager is very attentive and supportive, especially with the one plumbing issue we experienced. Thanks for the nice vacation!!

Easy access to the beach, parking conveniently located close to the condo, carts available for luggage transport, well stocked kitchen. One recommendation if possible to provide bedroom darkening curtains? But otherwise, we had a great, relaxing time.

great place
blessed to have found this place. very good communication. place was accurately described. quiet and safe neighborhood. amazing beach few feet away. close enough to touristy places like Monterey, Carmel by the sea, Santa Cruz (average of half an hour, but can take an hour during peak hours).

Great beach
We enjoyed the location, private beach and the community of our rental! The kitchen was well appointed and the condo was comfortable. The property manager was great to work with! The only thing which would be wonderful to upgrade would be the mattresses. Thank you for letting us stay here.

Quiet and Relaxing
If you want a clean quiet relaxing place to stay ! This is the place! Beach access from this spot is literally right there! And it’s on the first level no steps perfect for kids and those over 60! Wink wink! Plus the owner responds right away and is very kind when you ask questions!

Weekend Getaway
We had a great stay at Parejo Dunes. The location was perfect, with a very short walk to the beach. The property manager was responsive and easy to communicate with. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

The Shorebirds and Dunes a Mixed Bag
The property is beautiful and offers much to savor. However, the management leaves much to desire. On our first morning, we commenced breakfast assaulted by hammering and sawing noise. Upon calling the owner, we found out that he had not been informed of the remodeling above during our stay. He was dismayed and forgave one nights fee and apologized profusely.

Outstanding Stay
We loved this unit! Communication with the property manager was easy. We were so happy with the cleanliness of the unit. We were surprised and delighted how wonderfully stocked the kitchen was. We love to cook and it was easy with the set up of dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was perfect… location, cleanliness, cozy feel. Everything. But it was the worst bed I have ever slept on. I can’t wait to book again but it would have to be after they buy new beds.

Ideal location
This condo is in the absolute ideal location between Santa Cruz and Monterey. It is 50 yards to the beach. We appreciated the secure gated community. The beach was not overcrowded, even on a holiday week. It was easy to go into Watsonville for groceries or dinner. We have already recommended it to friends. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay!
The location is great. We made the short walk to the beautiful beach several times a day. We took advantage of the area, walking through the trails at Elkhorn Slough and lunching at Phil’s Fish Factory. We made two dinners at home and found everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen. I would recommend a new can opener. :) The four of us were very comfortable in the condo and the surrounding lovely landscaped grounds. We would all make a return trip.

In and on the Dunes tranquility
Our family were so pleased with our choice to stay here. You are staying in the dunes, right on the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful and so perfect for family time from sun up till sun down with evening fires. Such an escape from the busyness of life. The property was clean, and very comfortable, felt like a home away from home. If I could move here I would!

Great location, steps to the beach, a bit sparse
Cute condo, but a little out dated. Super convenient to get the beach and the patio felt pretty private. Was bummed at the lack of the regular stuff you find in a rental; there was no shampoo, no foil or baggies, no beach towels or chairs. We had to bring almost everything or go and buy it (salt & pepper), so the price seemed steep. Overall, really enjoyed my stay and you really can’t beat the location!!

Comfortable and beach access
The place was very nice and the location was perfect for beach access. Due to some physical limitations we wanted a first floor. The down side was really no ocean view and the upstairs resident were very loud. This is no fault of our hosts but a caution. We gave it a 4 because the large picture windows were pretty dirty, the bed not so great and a small plumbing issue.. but honestly it’s a great location

the pictures did not show the true age of the furnishings. the beach was not close and the landscape was sparse. there could have been an accident because the shower mat slipped when exiting the tub. and for a group of four there wasn't enough towels.

Thank for your feedback, we are in the process of updating furnishings and fixtures and have already replaced several. As for not being close to the beach, I'm not sure what you are referring to...there are only a few condos in the entire building closer to the beach than ours.

Great Location
The location of this property was amazing. The layout of the property suited our family nicely. The kitchen island worked out great when prepping and serving meals. My only critique would be some furniture needs upgrades. Other than that it was a great visit and would be happy to return.

Nestled in the dunes
Couldn’t have asked for a better location. It’s on the first level so you can’t see the beach from the unit, but you can definitely hear it if you open the patio doors, and the beach is only steps away. We didn’t need anything that wasn’t there during our stay. Highly recommend!
