“I give this a five star because it is excellent for what it is meant to be - a no frills, clean, and comfortable place to sleep and rest for a couple days while we explored the area. It is nothing fancy - there is no free breakfast (which are usually less than to be desired anyways). It is nicely decorated in the retro style and is a fun throwback to the motels of the 50's and 60's. I like that there were two chairs, so my spouse and I could both sit to watch TV or read, because I prefer to sit...

“Housekeeping was on top of there game. Breakfast was consistently good. Only beef is how loud the ice machine was all night long. Pam the manager deserves a raise. ”

“The stay at Great Smokies is always good. Pleasant staff, good location, clean room and good price. This trip had the added feature of seeing a couple Elk walking down the road near the motel.”
