Beachfront 7-bedroom House on Wells Beach Perfect for Family Getaways

The Sandcastle is a grand, historic beachfront cottage perched above Wells Beach. It offers instant beach access and a spacious patio where you can relax and take in the ocean views, especially at high tide.

Perfect for large family gatherings, the house has seven (7) bedrooms and accommodates fourteen (14) guests. The Second Floor features three oceanfront bedrooms with breathtaking views, plus two additional bedrooms overlooking Crescent Lane and the marsh. A shared bathroom is also on this level.

The Third Floor features two cozy bedrooms tucked under the eaves, offering a bird’s-eye view of the ocean and beach below. Don’t miss the spectacular sunsets from the west-facing third-floor window!

The Patio is a shared space with our two other units on the ground level. Each unit has a designated picnic table and umbrella, and has access to a third of the patio. Please be considerate of other occupants. We also provide a limited number of beach chairs for each unit.

Beach Access is via the Public Way. A stairway at the end of Crescent Lane leads down to the beach and is maintained by the town of Wells.

The House has a five (5) car parking limit. Paid parking is available down the road.

We do not have onsite laundry and use a linen rental company. Linens are delivered by 5 PM the day of your arrival and picked up at 10 AM the day of your departure. The linen bundles include sheet sets for all beds, bath towel sets for every occupant (1x bath towel, 1x hand towel, 1x washcloth, 1x makeup cloth), and beach towels. Renters are responsible for making beds upon arrival and stripping beds upon check out. All used linens and towels must be bagged and placed on the porch for pick-up by 10 AM on the day of departure. If this seems like too much, and you are unable or unwilling to work with the rental linens, we might not be the place for you.

At this time, we are unable to accommodate events, however, we welcome small retreats (such as writing or wellness retreats) with prior approval and appropriate insurance. Please reach out to discuss your event needs.
