  • This truly unique stay showcases history and modern comfort harmoniously intertwining. Originally constructed as a barn in 1855, this house exudes timeless charm. The majestic wood beams have stood the test of time and form a captivating centerpiece to the home.

    Centrally nestled in Southern Maine, this location offers unparalleled convenience, granting easy access to all points of interest. Less than 10 miles from your retreat, you'll be able to explore Orris Falls Conservation Area, Bruce Abbott Memorial Park, the Links at Outlook Golf Course, and Wonder Mountain Fun Park.

    After a day filled with adventure, sit back and enjoy the home's open-concept living room, full kitchen, and dining area. This space is illuminated by the glow of twinkle lights and is the perfect space to spend special moments with the people who mean the most to you. Delicious dishes can be prepared with ease amongst the kitchen's granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and ample meal prep space. When you aren't utilizing this space, head for the large patio.

    Follow the home's original wood finishes into each of the bedrooms. Adorned with soft linens and unique decor pieces - everyone is guaranteed to be satisfied with their sleeping quarters. Additional interior perks include central air-conditioning, a private washer/dryer, and internet access.

Amazing property! Firepit was great as well as the charcoal grill. What would take this property over the top would be the inclusion of a pool, ping pong or foosball table!

The Big Red Barn was gorgeous!!

We loved how clean it was, so comfortable, spacious, the details of decorating were spectacular and the kitchen was amazing! Highly recommended I would stay here again!

Parker family vacation

The whole family loved the Big Red Barn and there are good antique shops close by and nice beaches nearby also. The Barn is in a nice location and is plenty big enough for a large family and we would recommend this house to anyone

Spacious and well appointed

The Red Barn was huge and spacious and very well appointed. It provided a fantastic kitchen, comfortable sleeping arrangements and great, clean bathrooms. We definitely plan to book again.

Family celebrations

We loved the Big Red Barn! We usually stay in Ogunquit but wanted a little quieter atmosphere and this place was perfect. Our family of 6 had 4 floors of privacy and everything we needed was there. Clean and well equipped. Conveniently located too. Would definitely stay again

Great place

Very clean, had plenty of amenities! Loved the open spaces for gathering. Kids thought all the levels were the best! Great kitchen! A little noisy from the road there. Would go back though!

The Big Red Barn

Perfect! This used to be the old firehouse in Wells. It’s 15 minutes from Moody Beach and Kennebunkport. Half an hour to York Beaches. The whole family loved the property.

A spacious place for a large group that allowed accommodations to be comfortable for everyone. A lot of eclectic items scatted around the house. We had difficulty with the refrigerator as it did not remain cold throughout our stay.

We would definitely stay again

The property had a casual laid-back feel. Open area which was good for conversation. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever we needed. A little better job could’ve been done when cleaning the cabinet doors, the over the range hood, and the dining table. Everyone loves the big comfy reading chair next to the huge picture. The busy road wasn’t an issue except at night when we had to open the windows because the third floor was too hot (79) and the temperature could not be regulated. We love that there were lots of bathrooms, however not were all equipped with hand soap. A paved or tarred or stone walkway heading to the door would be beneficial as when it’s wet out your shoes are soaked from walking through the grass. Late checkout was offered however, the price wasn’t given before you were required to hit purchase. overall, we would stay here again as long as the temperature controls could be figured out.
