This spacious, single-level home offers three bedrooms, one full bathroom, and one half bath, making it a wonderful spot for families and friends looking to relax and enjoy the Maine coast. Tucked away in a quiet setting but still just minutes from downtown Boothbay Harbor and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Samoset Cottage offers the best of both worlds.

One of the highlights of this property is its private dock and float, offering a wonderful place to launch a kayak or canoe, enjoy the water, or simply sit back and take in the views. If you`re lucky, you may even spot great blue herons fishing along the shoreline or seals popping up just off the dock during your stay!

Inside, the cottage has a comfortable, homey feel with plenty of space to relax and spend time together. While it may not have all the modern finishes of a newer home, it has a welcoming, lived-in charm that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your time away. The large sunroom is a great spot for family games, reading, or simply taking in the peaceful surroundings. The fully equipped kitchen has seating for six, and there`s also a picnic table outside where you can enjoy meals while watching the osprey circle overhead.

Outside, the expansive lawn offers plenty of room for a game of catch, croquet, or simply stretching out with a good book. With beautiful river views, passing boats, and plenty of wildlife to watch, there`s no shortage of ways to enjoy the outdoors.

Across the water, the end of Indiantown Island features walking trails maintained by the Boothbay Region Land Trust, adding even more opportunities to explore the natural beauty of the area.

Instead of placing a security deposit hold on your card, we include a small, non-refundable $25 damage waiver in the reservation total—so your funds remain available throughout your trip. This Waiver covers damages up to $300.

Please note: This property is dog-friendly. Reservations are subject to a $200 nonrefundable pet fee upon booking. Guests who bring unauthorized pets to the property without prior approval will incur a $500 fee and may be asked to leave.
• Quiet hours are 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM. Please respect our neighbors at all times.
• Maximum occupancy is as shown on the listing. Additional guests are subject to $25/person/night and may result in cancellation without prior approval.
• No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property (indoors or outdoors).
• Open flames (fireplaces, fire pits, etc.) require prior written approval.
• No parties, events, or large gatherings without written approval.
• Waterfront/dock use (if applicable) is at your own risk and may require an additional waiver.
• Up to two (2) pets are permitted with prior approval. A non-refundable $200 pet fee applies per reservation. Guests traveling with a pet must notify Sea Maine Vacation Rentals prior to arrival so we can confirm approval. Pets arriving without prior approval are considered unauthorized and are subject to a minimum $500 unauthorized pet fee, additional cleaning or damage charges, and may result in cancellation of the reservation. ADA-compliant service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law.
