IL FIUME, I BOSCHI, LA VACANZA FAMILIARE PERFETTA
Questo è il punto di partenza che hai sempre sognato. Goditi l'accesso privato e diretto al fiume, basta una breve camminata lontano dalla tua bella "cabina" a tre livelli nei boschi. Questa spaziosa casa offre grandi spazi interni ed esterni, con splendide vetrate a tutta altezza, un imponente soffitto a cattedrale e un ampio ponte avvolgente. Tutto qui è costruito per il vostro comfort, dalla master suite king size privata al piano superiore alla camera familiare separata al piano inferiore. Al livello principale in mezzo troverai una planimetria aperta e una cucina completamente attrezzata - perfetta per intrattenere - così come altre due camere da letto. Una di queste camere da letto ha un letto full-size e l'altra ha due gemelli. Queste camere condividono un bagno completo con una combinazione vasca-doccia. Al piano inferiore nella camera familiare i bambini possono distendersi e rilassarsi nel proprio spazio, che offre anche un divano letto e un bagno, per accogliere gli ospiti supplementari.


Anche se l'interno della casa è invitante e ricco di servizi, probabilmente trascorrerai molto tempo all'aria aperta, godendoti il fiume e il bosco, mentre sfuggi al calore della città. Il New River è largo, poco profondo e lento - ottimo per nuotare, pescare, tubare, kayak, fare escursioni e fare picnic. Questa meravigliosa casa vacanze offre un accesso privato e diretto all'acqua, a pochi passi dalla casa, su un delizioso sentiero attraverso i boschi. We loved staying in the house. We had just two adults and our dog. We loved walking down the path to the river. Took about 10 minutes taking our time. Not too steep, but a mountain trail. a few benches along the way to rest and enjoy the forest. River was nice. Our dog and we enjoyed swimming and did some fishing and tubing. River is not too deep and not flowing too fast. House had everything we needed to cook a full meal including outside grill and gas fireplace was nice. Basement was cool with tv and couches and card table and air hockey and foosball and door walks outside to hot tub which was nice. Steep driveway but we managed in a car. Firepit on ground level next to parking. Main level off of parking has walkway to deck that is on two sides and this is main living room and kitchen with two bedrooms and full bath. Upper level has loft with queen bed and full bath. Basement is lower level with full bath and games. Loved it. Also management was always there via text and very very helpful

We really enjoyed our stay. The driveway was a little challenging after getting wet from the rain. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is definitely recommended.

Wonderful cabin, great week, just a few minor bumps. The coffee pot didn’t work so we had to buy one, the instructions for the gas fireplace were wrong and the electric stove didn’t work well till we noticed the burners were not connected. The lower basement area was cold but the grandkids didn’t seem to mind. Otherwise we had a great time

Above The River is a beautiful three story cabin that is appropriately named as it is situated on the side of the mountain above the river. The river is close enough that you can hear it if the environment is quite. Our stay was in August. You could see glimpses of the river from the back deck through the trees if you made it a point to look for it. The river would be very visible if you were there when the trees were without their leaves. We tubed in the river which was so clear and beautiful. There was plenty of games, puzzles, books and movies for when we were inside. We enjoyed making memories and we would definitely stay at this rental again.

Our family enjoyed the mountain getaway! A nice quiet escape with plenty of space. The walk down to the river is a nice walk through the woods and is the five minutes indicated. The walk back up may take a few minutes longer, but still a great amenity to be so close to the water and able to walk through nature. The recommendation for 4WD would definitely be necessary for the driveway in the winter, but was very doable - but that was the only spot we felt it would be needed. Great spot - enjoyed the stay!

Honestly we didn’t do much as a family while we were there because we chose to spend our time thoroughly enjoying the ambiance and quietness of the cabin. The kids really enjoyed themselves and we enjoyed the ability to relax. It was a great way to get away from the craziness of our everyday lives and find some peace. The place was neat, tidy, and cozy! Perfect getaway!

We had a great time exploring the area. We were informed the people before us made a mess. Therefore they needed extra time to clean (thats fine!). When we got there all looked okay but it had not be cleaned well. The floors on the main level were sticky and crumbs everywhere... not sure they vacuumed and mopped the floors. Make sure you bring cleaning supplies for the kitchen to wipe up after meals. There were none at the house.

Overall nice house, nice location. House was mostly clean. Curtains were very dusty especially in dining room some cobwebs and ceiling fan in bedroom upstairs pretty dusty. There was a set of sheets left in dryer we just put them back not sure where they went. Overall it was a nice stay otherwise. Driveway was not to bad even for a minivan do that was good. We enjoyed the location with the river and not being to far from town.

House has a great layout, was clean and is in a great location, 6 miles from groceries, gas, etc. The river was a short walk with private access which was nice. There were no long range Mountain View but still nice. We enjoyed the hot tub, playing air hockey/foosball and time by the fire. Downtown west Jefferson was only 10 minutes away and we enjoyed a little shopping. Definitely recommend this cabin.

We loved this cabin, it was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and in such a peaceful setting. Plus, it was one of the cleanest rentals we've ever stayed at! The hot tub worked great. The access to and view of the river was an added bonus. The rental agency responded quickly to all questions and requests. We would definitely rent this cabin again!

We had a wonderful stay! The house had everything we needed to keep kids entertained! We seriously did not want to leave. Amazing wildlife in the area. Saw deer everyday, one day watched them play in the river down from the property. The river is a short walk, but we are a hiking family so that did not phase us at all including my 3 year old. Loved the separation of the down stair den from the rest of the house. Beds were comfy. It gave my teens separate places to chill and watch what they wanted on tv. A lot to do within an hour drive. The only complaint was the floors were not very clean when we arrived, but everything else was spotless so we didn’t sweat that too much. Would love to come back!

Very disappointed when arriving at this property. Felt misled in the description. Pictures on website do not match what is actually there. There is no view at all. Overgrown trees and scrubs everywhere felt confining and not relaxing. No easy access to the water, steep, rocky and dangerous path. Be careful of rusty nails popping out on outside chairs. Towels smell sour and need replaced. Cabin smells musty. Be careful of braided rugs on floors, easy to trip on. Shower head in downstairs bathroom is moldy and nasty along with ceiling tiles stained that show leaks. Glad to have 4 wheel drive vehicles as driveway is very difficult to get in and out. Landline phone did not work. Left a day early as no one wanted to return after going into West Jefferson. What was to be a nice family get away turned out to a upsetting experience. Will not rent again.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beautiful. I was amazed at how quiet it was outside. All you could hear were birds chirping and a little bit of a small creek. This would be an amazing place to stay when the rhododendrons were blooming or at the turning of the leaves.. Put yourcar in second gear to get up the driveway and you will have no problems. I would consider the hike to the river a moderate level, but beautiful once there. Would hughly recommend this cabin.

We had a nice weekend getaway. Hot tub was nice but there was glass outside on the ground. Property had many cigarette butts on the ground. Inside was cute, lots of beds, and room to spread out. It did have a couple damages upon arrival. House was a short walk down to the river. Property had enough space for several cars, as well as a nice fire pit area.
