  • Benvenuti nella nostra cabina, "Sopra le nuvole"! Al suo arrivo, vedrai come ha ottenuto il suo nome.

    Quando rimani nella nostra cabina, avrai la sensazione di essere in cima al mondo con vista sulle nostre maestose montagne Blue Ridge. Voi e la vostra famiglia godrete di trascorrere del tempo di qualità nella nostra camera con 3 camere da letto, cabina bagno con Wi-Fi, AC, camino a legna, viste mozzafiato, grill a carbone e altro (mi dispiace ma non sono ammessi animali domestici). Convenientemente situato a pochi minuti dal centro di West Jefferson con accesso accessibile, vicino a ristoranti, negozi, escursioni, pesca, canoa, The Blue Ridge Parkway e tutte le altre attività e attrazioni. West Jefferson è a circa 10-15 minuti di auto e Boone è a circa 35 minuti di distanza. 16 Hands Farm è un luogo di ritrovo rustico molto popolare per matrimoni e feste private e siamo situati a soli 10 minuti!

    PIANO PRINCIPALE: Godetevi il nostro piano aperto con il soggiorno con un camino a legna pietra a soffitto, TV via cavo a schermo piatto, zona pranzo, comodi posti a sedere e pavimenti in legno massiccio. La nostra cucina salva-saver ha le comodità moderne di casa con forno a microonde, lavastoviglie e forno a gas con 4 fuochi.

    La camera matrimoniale con un comodo letto king size è anche al piano terra. Non avrai mai voglia di lasciare il nostro lussuoso bagno con cabina doccia piastrellata, vasca idromassaggio idromassaggio e nuovo pavimento in piastrelle situati attraverso la sala dalla camera matrimoniale king size.

    PIANO SUPERIORE: Il piano superiore ha un'altra camera da letto matrimoniale e un bagno completo lungo. Il loft ha un tavolo da air hockey e un futon per dormire extra.

    LIVELLO INFERIORE: Il livello inferiore ha la 3a camera da letto con 2 letti gemelli XL log artigianali, area per famiglie con TV a schermo piatto, divano e poltrona reclinabile. Divertiti anche a giocare a biliardino. Anche la lavastoviglie e l'essiccatore sono a questo livello.

    Fuori: Godetevi la grigliata del vostro cibo preferito sulla nostra griglia del carbone di legna mentre prendiamo le viste. Sappiamo che tutti vogliono semplicemente trascorrere il tempo di qualità sul nostro ponte coperto con un sacco di posti a sedere. Sarai in soggezione dai panorami mozzafiato di montagna a lungo raggio.

The view from this house is amazing, the layout of the house is great (top floor bedroom/bath, main floor bedroom/bath, downstairs bedroom/bath/extra living space). I do wish the main floor living room how more comfortable seating, maybe an oversized armchair or recliner to accompany the couch? The dining area could use additional seating as well (it only seats 4) and the house holds more than 4. It's quiet, it's clean, it's above the clouds!

Amazing View, Super Clean

Loved this property for a weekend getaway. Bedroom and bathroom on each floor, the wrap around deck has awesome long range views, enjoyed the fireplace. We stayed here for the weekend with my parents and never even turned on the TV. Convenient to the downtown area.

View Is Disappearing

Full disclosure, this is a very nice property however it’s main selling point and the reason that we booked this house (it’s view), is mostly obscured by trees when seated on various areas of the main deck. I generally will only post negative reviews on a property for things that had I seen others commenting about, would have constituted a deal breaker for myself. In all fairness, there IS one narrow location on the deck where you can see the beautiful view, however others seated outside of that area and those seated in the living room will have obstructed views. Hopefully, if it’s allowed, the owner can trim the trees back and restore that beautiful view. If the view is not your main reason for staying at a property, by all means give this one a shot. It’s well maintained, clean, well appointed, and in a great location.

Pay attention to small things

Looking at a distance everything looks great. However, it is the small details that make a difference. The kitchen dishes are scarred or cracked, dish towels need to be replaced because of the sour odor that remains after washing, there are no deep pots for cooking only frying pans and woks. There is no chest in the master to store clothes. The floors were not swept well, especially in front of the laundry room, white particles all over the carpet. No end tables to rest a cup on or book on. For the amount of money we paid, we expected more. The positive thing I have to say is the view.

Lovely cabin

The cabin is iin a great location and had a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was a little smaller than I expected, but turned out to be fine and it was closer to the neighbors than I am accustomed to. It is conveniently located to West Jefferson, Boone and Blowing Rock with lots of hiking and activities available to anyone who wishes to stay here. Thank you to the family for renting your beautiful home. The only concerns I had is that the smoke detector beeped all night on my first night and the water in the master bath dripped all night the second night, so it impacted my ability to sleep soundly. Oh and there were ants in the kitchen. That was a disappointment, but other than that, everything was well. The person who responded to calls about the matter could use some lessons in customer service, but the cleaning lady who was kind enough to come and replace the battery and bring ant traps was wonderful.

Christmas Tree Hunt

This cabin was exactly what we were hoping it to be. The view from this cabin was so breathtaking that we didn’t want to leave. I usually don’t like staying anywhere but our camper because of the experiences we have had with cleanliness, but this place was spotless and we will most definitely be back for sure. Our Christmas Tree hunt was a success thanks to C and J Christmas Tree farm.

Fun place for a family!!

Our family had a great time! The house was just as pictured. We really enjoyed the view. We played hours of foosball and air hockey. We didn't want to leave and we hope we can come back again in the future!

Great Mountain Getaway

Overall we had a wonderful time, the property is exactly as shown and described. It was fairly close to everything you would need, considering you were up in the mountains. The views were amazing, and there was lots to do just at the cabin itself. I would just make future renters aware that we had to provide our own toilet paper, that wasn't something I was accustomed to doing with a rental but that may also be because of COVID and the toilet paper shortages?

Perfect getaway

Exactly as pictured!! Not sure any picture could capture the peace felt sitting on the deck looking out. We all slept great, cooked great meals in the kitchen, and explored Jefferson. We loved our stay!!

Perfect vacation

We loved this cabin! The views were amazing, cabin was cozy, beds were comfortable. Me and the kids played a lot of air hockey and football. For me it was a perfect vacation we live in Florida so we always go to a beach for vacation. This was definitely a change for the good. Thanks to Stacy for everything!!

Great Cabin

The cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Our boys loved the hockey and fooseball tables and having a space of their own. We had some amazing views and sunsets from the porch.

Fantastic view of the mountains! So relaxing.

Arrived in the last of an ice storm but that didn't really cause any issues, went away the next day. Close enough to town to pickup needed supplies. The accommodations were so nice, very neatly furnished and felt very cozy. The neighbors were very close but that was not evident unless you looked to the sides. We would definitely come back to this property again.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. The house is absolutely beautiful and the view from the front porch and living room is stunning. There were a few small glitches that should be ironed out...the ice maker does not work. There are ice trays, but if you need lots of ice, you should bring a bag. The jacuzzi in the bathroom is nice, but there is not enough hot water to fill it up. We were able to take nice long hot showers though. The shower in the bathroom on the main floor was wonderful with a rain showered and glass doors. There is a laundry shoot in that bathroom you so you throw your clothes in there without having to lug them down to the 1st floor to wash them. very convenient. The beds are very comfortable and the neighborhood is very quiet. Wifi reception is excellent. We were about 15 minutes away from West Jefferson and there are a few places there that we enjoyed eating at. We also went to Jefferson Mountain and to Bass Lake for hiking. Bass Lake (Blowing Rock) was about 40 minutes away. If you go to Blowing Rock, eat at Speckled Trout. We love this house! We drive a Toyota convertible and we were able to navigate the roads pretty well up to the house. However, on our first day here we did get snow and we did not even attempt driving down the mountain. A 4WD is recommended and I can see why. We were fortunate that the snow hit after we checked in. Siri gave us great directions to the house.

GREAT View and Close

Great cabin and close to West Jefferson 5 min. and Boone 20 min. as well. WOW what a view. A really nice stay. Only thing is that the couch just is not comfortable on main floor. Second floor chairs are dreamy though. So 4 stars.... rent it !!! Sunsets were spectacular over Boone and Grandfather mtn.
