Welcome to our cozy three-bedroom log home overlooking the picturesque Lochaber Lake in Antigonish County! This year-round retreat is nestled on a one-acre lot, exuding the charm of an old homestead with modern amenities. Enjoy stunning lake views from the screened front porch of this 1,110 square foot property, perfect for a family vacation or a retreat for two to three couples.



Situated amidst private hardwoods with 200 feet of lake access, our cottage is designed for comfort and relaxation. The year-round hot tub, screened front porch, and spacious deck with breathtaking lake and hill views offer the perfect setting for outdoor enjoyment. This pet-friendly property features a shared lake house, deck, and dock for easy lakefront access.



Inside, experience the warmth of the cozy gas stove during cool evenings and winter nights. The log home boasts a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a washer and dryer, and high-speed fiber-optic WiFi. Unwind with SmartTV service in the 1,100 square feet of living space.



For active guests, Lochaber Lake is a haven for Lake Trout fishing and various water activities. Explore the nearby waterfalls, enjoy mountain biking on College Grant Road trails, or venture into the extensive mountain biking and hiking trails at Keppoch Mountain recreational area.

Homesteader Lodge is a beautiful property and home, directly on the lake. We loved that it was pet-friendly too!The house had everything we needed, including a wonderful hot tub, just off of the screened in porch. It was too cool for us to use the porch but it would be lovely in warmer weather. The beds were very comfortable and the house was exactly as pictured. Bathrooms were clean, with plenty of hot water. The kitchen had lots of dishes and cookwear, as well as new appliances. One thing I would suggest is picking up your groceries, etc in the towns nearby as there aren’t places close by to shop. Antigonish is about 25 minutes away. This property is very unique, both in design and location and anyone who is lucky enough to stay will truly enjoy their time there.

Cabin was beautiful

Had a great time, the hot tub was awesome. The cabin was very clean with lots of towels. Loved having a washer and dryer.
