Welcome to Frontier House. Experience casual luxury in a wooded lakeshore area retreat tucked between the woods and waves of West Michigan. With beds for 12+ guests, this is where families come together, beach days turn into bonfire nights, and everyone finds space to roam, relax, and reconnect. This listing is thoughtfully designed and decorated - the perfect place for your large group to enjoy time away together.

Inside, stretch out in the spacious living room, gather around the oversized kitchen island, or head to the basement hangout, fully stocked with ping pong, a big-screen TV, games, toys, and a fitness area. With plenty of cozy sleeping options, everyone has space to recharge: The master suite features a king bed, private deck, and a work-from-home desk. Other bedrooms feature queen and twin beds, a bunk room, and a main floor office with a king size day bed. You’ll also enjoy a cozy reading loft, convenient upstairs laundry, and big windows that let nature take center stage.

Outside, the backyard is a dream — surrounded by trees and set up for serious fun. Grill and dine on the deck, make s’mores around the fire pit, or challenge the crew to basketball, badminton, or bocce ball. The large lawn is perfect for a round of Cornhole! The paved half-circle driveway is ideal for cruising on bikes, scooters, and soaking in summer.

We were 3 families with 2 young kids each (6 total!). We loved the outdoor space for our kids to run around and play. The basement also provided another hangout area for the kids. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Kids room also had some books and toys which were appreciated. We would consider renting again when traveling with a large group.

Michigan Golf Trip

We had a group of 12 (4 dads, 8 recent high school grads) for a 3-day golf trip. The house was perfect. Very clean, plenty of room, and secluded enough that we felt like we weren't going to bother anyone. Laura was quick to respond to questions. Hope to do it again sometime!

This is a beautiful home that is well equipped and is accurately represented by the pictures on Vrbo! We really appreciated the owner/host sharing their home with us! The only issue I had was understanding the ratification process for the rental agreement and the extra charges listed for seven adults and seven children. The owner told me they intended to send a reply clarifying the charges, but I didn’t receive the message and I didn’t know what the cost would be in the end. Later, it was explained that there would be no extra charges which was appreciated. I totally recommend staying at this property. All the best,Tom

Lovely Michigan Getaway

Frontier House was the perfect home away from home for our family getaway. Ample space for everyone to relax after a day at the beach. Frontier House provided beach chairs, sand toys, and much much more, which was very much appreciated. Windsnest Beach was our favorite beach. The kitchen was fully stocked and the entire house was so comfortable and inviting. The location was perfect too. Quiet but a short drive to beaches and town. The house also provided options to help you stay committed to your fitness goals and was close to trails for evening walks or morning runs. Lovely getaway and we cant wait to go back!
