My room was clean and quiet. Staff courteous and pleasant. It was the cheapest place I could find where I needed to be. So no suprise that the building looked worn and shabby.

Do not stay here. It was filthy - the heating/cooling vent had visible dirt and debris and clearly had not been cleaned in a very long time - I was afraid to turn it on for fear of circulating this through the room, there was dirt on the floor, the lightbulbs in most of the lighting did not work, the hair dryer was sparking and clearly a fire hazard, the building was messy - there were boxers piled about in the lobby and - although I was in a non-smoking room - the building smelled of smoke. There were people congregated outside smoking . I did not feel safe - there wasn't a manual door lock on the door (only the lock that could be opened with a key card) - I pushed a chair up against the door as a precaution. The towels were thin and had the texture of a kitchen washcloth and the bed was not much better.

Signage was a paper half taped to the entry door. From outside you can observe that the shades were off track in many rooms. Shady at best. Can’t speak to cleanliness of rooms; left after seeing lobby, clientele, and talking to clerk. Expedia snipped a days stay from refund.

DON'T STAY HERE!
Front desk attendant was rude. First room the toliet leaked and was told there was only 1 room left and it was for emergencies. Room had pateches of wallpaper peeling off the walls. Heater didn't work so the room was FREEZING! Yelling up and down the hallways. Fridge did not work.

Not impressed!
I wish I had taken photos. When I went to plug in the phone charger, there was a bug that came out of the outlet. One of the drawers was full with crumbs, and the bathroom toilet kept clogging. When I went to check in the person behind the counter was too busy, placing the order for Chinese food and had me wait. The room should’ve been 99+ tax up to 123+ the $12 cancellation fee and I ended up paying 173 again I wish I had taken pictures.

Everything worked - shower, tv, heat and wi-fi. The only problem was that the bathroom sink counter was not clean. I had to clean it with damp napkins to get rid of the built up crud.

Only if no other choice
We booked a king bed only to learn no rooms with kings were clean. Heat was alright but a constant drip could be heard. Got a 2 double bed. No breakfast. No coffee maker in room. None of us slept well. Asked about partial refund and was refused. The shower was nice. Otherwise, not worth the cost.

Room was filthy: chair had white dust all over; windowsill was covered with dirt, dust, ashes; windows didn't close fully; toilet rocked noisily; hotel doors to parking lot had a hole where the lock had been removed. No signage indicated this is "Riverdale Inn"; rather all signage (and wifi network and password) pointed to this being a Super 8. Loud party at the entrance until the wee hours, complete with music from an 18-wheel truck in the lot, and shouting. Halls reeked of pot. Shower rod was disconnected from the walls on both ends of the tub, so that water could not be prevented from flowing onto the bathroom floor. Only 3 lights in the room: either side of bed and next to the window; there was also a desk in the room, but it had no light on it.

Diappointed very run down
We were attending a local concert and wanted an economical hotel to avoid driving a couple of hours aftreward. The price was right, the facility wasn't. The parking lot had pot holes, one large enough for a whole tire to fall into. The hallway smelled like dog. The non-smoking room smelled mildly of smoke. Each of the two chairs had an arm coming off.The toilet had the wrong seat and was loose and moved. The area outside the side entrance was strwn with trash. Check in was problematic: computer problems, unable to print, finally given room keys in desperation. This must be regularly complained about. When checking out weren't even asked "How was your stay"? Wouldn't recommend this facility that was recently taken over from Super 8 to anyone.

Riverdale Inn is a Super 8 motel, it smells old and the surroundings were littered. Staff were not welcoming. It needs to be honest about what it is an old run down motel.

This property is DISGUSTING. Rubber mat in shower that was clearly never moved to clean tub. Every single thing reeked of smoke. Smoke detector was removed from our room obviously so people could still smoke in there. No screen on window. Took the blankets off the bed because it didn't seem like they were very clean to see burn holes in the blankets and the mattress cover. The smell was so strong. It was also very difficult to sleep with the noise coming through very very very thin walls. Area around property was filthy and disgusting.

Worn down and tired property. Garbage in front lot. Badly needs new carpeting and a replacement of the ductwork to get rid of stale smoke. Toilet worked great and sheets seemed clean, but the shower rod looked like it would fall down in a heartbeat as it was propped up by two nails. The hair in the bathroom floor corners, nail clippings on the floor near the window and the grime in the room's heater/AC unit was disgusting. All night we heard the sounds of doors slamming, loud voices, and the rooms were used for people not planning on staying the night...we were supposed to stay two nights.. we forfeited the second night.

This place was not what we were expecting at all. There were cigarette butts in the hallways, mold in the bathroom, and the towel rack was hanging off the wall. We booked what we thought was the Riverdale Inn but it was actually a Super 8 under a different name. It was dirty, sketchy, and poorly lit. Really a poor experience all around.

It’s shocking that this place has a presence on Expedia’s website. We turned tail the second we saw the fast food paper bag strapped over the smoke detector in our non-smoking room. Oh and the heating/cooling unit was broken and they refused to refund us. Dirty, smelly, scary.

The beds were comfortable, and the sheets/towels were clean. However, we could hear lots of noisy guests, and the fridge was quite noisy as well. There was lots of dirt in the corners (especially the bathroom) and there was a wad of toilet paper stuck into a hole in the bathroom wall. The back of the toilet also was obviously not cleaned. It was ok for what we needed, just a place to sleep, but we sure would not want to hang around for the day or another night. The stretch limo in the parking lot was also a bit suspect. This place has been recently taken over by another group so it may well improve.

The receptionist at the front desk was unprofessional with her remarks. Rooms need fixing. The beds were comfortable and clean but the towel rack pulls off the wall, the lights above the bed were broken and didn't work, not many outlets around the room and burn holes in the side of the tub. Unfortunately had to get it last minute so I overpaid. Wouldn't pay over 100 if you can avoid last minute bookings and as a last resort

The room was very dirty and did not look like it had been vacuumed in weeks. They were even cobwebs on the ceiling. The only positive thing I could say was I saw no bed bugs and the sheets smelled of bleach.
