Autunno nel New England - Calde spiagge tranquille, fogliame autunnale

Luogo di vacanza tranquillo e rilassante ancora vicino a tutti i servizi a metà strada tra la città e le spiagge, ascolta il vento tra gli alberi tutto il giorno piove o brilla dalla grande veranda di tre stagioni. Questa casa non è lussuosa ma confortevole, amata e rilassante. A metà strada tra la strada principale del centro o Westerly e 5 spiagge (Napatree, East Beach, Watch Hill beach, Misquamicut State Beach e Wuskenau). L'estate arriva con il pass per la spiaggia di Wuskenau che include il parcheggio. Assolutamente no animali anche piccoli a causa di allergie mortali.

Situato a Westerly RI, questo affascinante capo è 3. 5 miglia da Misquamicut Beach e le spiagge di Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Vicino al golf, al noleggio di kayak e ad 1 miglio dal centro della pittoresca cittadina di Westerly nel New England, nella Mainstreet America, che ospita il famoso Wilcox Park, Granite Street Theater, Shakespeare in the Park, RiverFire e altro ancora. Questa casa è il luogo perfetto per visitare Nuova Inghilterra-45 minuti a Newport e la Provvidenza e Casinò. 15 minuti per Stonington CT villaggio di pescatori. 20 minuti per Mystic CT. Viaggia per 30 minuti verso nord lungo la strada 1A per visitare i villaggi di pescatori della Galilea, Point Judith e altri. 1 1/2 ore nel cuore di Boston. 3 ore a New York City. 20 minuti di distanza prendere il traghetto a New London CT per la famosa Block Island o viaggiare più lontano per Martha's Vineyard, tutti abbastanza vicini per una gita di un giorno.


Atmosfera: questo cottage non è lussuoso, è molto amato. È un cottage rustico vicino a tutto ciò che la mia famiglia ha usato per anni come una casa al flop per andare e tornare dalla spiaggia. Ha tutto il mobile in legno originale e il fascino di un cottage della Nuova Inghilterra in una città costiera. Questo è il tipo di posto in cui alla mia famiglia piace dire "va bene rintracciare la sabbia dalla spiaggia alla cucina" dove ci sediamo tutto il giorno sulla veranda a giocare a carte con i bambini, ascoltando musica, grigliare e raccontare storie. Ogni camera è dotata di ventilatore, le camere singole sono dotate di aria condizionata. Facciamo fuochi nel camino nelle fredde notti di primavera / autunno. Speriamo che ti piaccia e lo ami tanto quanto noi.

Once again, we loved our time in this cozy cottage. The space is clean and comfortable. There’s plenty of space and extras such as plenty of towels and kitchen spices that you may have forgotten. The location is very convenient. This week was the holiday and there were triple the number of people out than we normally see on our now 5th vacation to Westerly. Still, we had no issue with beach parking on the 4th of July and a lovely time was had by all. Plenty to do: bowling, shopping in Mystic/Westerly/Watch Hill, beaching, a day trip to Salem & to Providence, drive in at Misquamicut beach. We love and adore this house and are so thankful Anne was able to accommodate us. Btw, if you are concerned about lack of central air, don’t be. Fans kept us cool downstairs and the window a/c was absolutely icey cold at night. Thank you, Anne!!

Nice 50/60’s home. Has 2 baths, the bath downstairs is very rustic. It was about 4-5 miles from the beach.

This cottage is absolutely adorable. It’s kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’d need for a stay. We cooked all of our meals here. We loved cooking dinner in and then going down to St Clair for an ice cream cone to watch the sunset over the bay and then taking a little night walk on East beach. Temps were in the high 70s all week and the house was very cool and comfortable. I’m very high maintenance but found the window air conditioners in all bedrooms to be more than ample. The house is in a quiet area that feels quite safe, very close to Stop N Shop. We spent one rainy day in Mystic Ct at the aquarium which did not disappoint. The home was very clean with no offensive odors or areas. We used the basement bathroom as a clean off from the beach and had no issues. The house has much of its original features which I found to be so refreshing and charming. I am desperate to get back to this house next summer. It was positively perfect, as was the beach pass. Anne was most hospitable. Loved this house so so so much.

The first and second floors were fine, but the basement where the 2nd bathroom is was very dingy and musty smelling. We had great difficulty with the outside doors not opening/locking correctly. One of us got locked out. After back and forth messages and calls, the problem was not remedied so we reached agreement to leave 3 days into our 8 day planned stay. While the property owner was cooperative in refunding her portion, we have had great difficulty with VRBO in refunding their portion and the state taxes. I have been on the phone with them 3 times totaling over 1 1/2 hours with still no resolution.

This is a lovely house in Westerly. It's well equipped and has lots of space to enjoy. Beautiful gardens front and back and a nice porch. We had a very enjoyable time. It's got all you need, great laundry room and spacious kitchen. No dishwasher as stated, which was not a problem for us. Bathrooms were functional and the downstairs one worked well for post beach showers.

I loved the creeks, smells, feel of the house, and even the "creepy" (as my wife put it) basement; it reminded me of when I would visit the New England area when I was a kid. We cooked several meals and were happy with the kitchen supplies. Plenty of room to stretch out.

It was very nice but some things were a bit misrepresented. There was only a/c in bedrooms. The house was also very old. The host communicated immediately and I appreciated that.

This lovely, comfortable house was a wonderful place for our stay in Westerly. Its spaciousness was most welcomed for our family of four, especially when one wanted to nap while the others played. The location was in close proximity to beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, town center, etc.. It was also equipped with pretty much everything you could need for a vacation home. We especially enjoyed the back porch both as a place to do some light business work and a place for meals throughout the day. Anne, the owner, was easy to reach and very accommodating. Thank you so much!

We were a group of 5 friends in town for the weekend and can’t say enough about how great the location is. You are within 5-10 minutes of the grocery store, beach, Watch Hill, and downtown Westerly. The house was very clean with tons of space, and we spent most of the time on the back porch which was lovely. The kitchen was well stoked with all of the essentials. Just like the reviews say, the house is not luxury but has everything you need. Our host Anne was very responsive and flexible for our needs - thank you!

We had a wonderful stay and the house was just as described. Cozy, homey, bit dated. We loved the patio! Anne, the owner, was so quick to respond with any questions. The house was in the perfect location for us right in between the beach and downtown …and took advantage of both! Also made a couple trips down to Mystic. We would absolutely stay again.

The perfect location for a girls’ weekend with my college friends! Close to fun things and great space for being around each other while also having space if we needed a break. Pros: Lots of beds, well-stocked kitchen, loads of books/games, excellent seating areas outside, loads of seating inside, and the labels of everything! Loved it. Cons: No nonstick pan, the bathroom in the basement was scary to use, the hedges at the end of the driveway made it really difficult to exit onto the street.

Had a great stay! House was set back and away from the street for added privacy. Covered deck was were we spent a lot of time. Everything was organized and directions were clear. Will be renting again in the future

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is as described: a 1950s cape, not fancy, but it is clean and has everything you need (but no dishwasher). It is on a fairly busy main road but has a nice big quiet back yard. The location is great, near many beaches and we had plenty to do like kayaking and spending time at the beach.

Great location- close to several beaches and cute seaside towns! No more than 20 minute drive to all these locations. Large yard, beach equipment, plenty of space for a family to spread out.
