“The environment is really pretty and tropical, lot of trees . Room is nice, staff very helpful, food is good. The only drawback is it’s kind of far from city. You will need taxi for most of the activities. The hotel is walking distance to DianChi only. Overall, hotel is nice for getaway , but not too convenient if you are here for touring the city ”

“This is a wonderful hotel and the staff are very kind. The early 20th C modernist architecture has been lovingly respected and restored, and interiors are modernized without eye-sore. What a treasure! And a surprise from initial photos to see a twin building facing the hotel building. The historical area around has amazing old wood buildings, with lattice windows and carved shutters, all lit up at night, with myriad food places and shops and hundreds of people milling around, dancing, taking...

“Ms Zhou is very informative and helpful. The housekeeping team is spontaneous and attentive. They gave my daughters extra sweets and even a pair of child slippers.There fresh fruits everyday in the room. Well done New Era!”

“The staff was really nice and friendly, and their garden was beautiful. However the rooms were not so nice. The bed was rock hard and their sheets were dirty. Would be nice to have a shower door too. It was a place to sleep and that's it.”
