“We stayed a couple of times before - once again, we had a very pleasant break. The house is warm and sunny, even in winter, and the weather was perfect for us and our dog. It’s nice to visit Waihi Beach at this time of the year - there’s still plenty to do, but fewer people make everything so relaxed. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Home on the hill. Perfect place to relax as a group and take in the views. This lovely home has everything you need and is comfy and cosy. We loved the movie room too!! Would definitely stay here again if we had the chance. Thank you”

“Perfect little unit for a couple nights stay, great location, only a couple minutes walk to Papamoa Plaza and local brewery "The Island" which is great for families with kids! Amazing pizza too :) Came in winter so didn't get to check out the beach but it was in walking distance too. Unit was well equipped and clean. Easy check in and check out. Thanks Matt for a lovely stay :)”

“This house was great for our family and Mel was responsive to all questions. We had one of our best holidays ever. ”

“The property is presented beautifully and well furnished, plenty of space in the garden for the kids to run around and being directly across from the beach was great. Also having the two spaces for watching tv meant we could all find our own space for some quiet time. ”

“Weather was terrible but had an awesome view of the storm/ cyclone downgraded that hit. Children enjoyed the pool and facilities but because of weather was limited. Would definitely stay again”

“Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price”
