Hotel vicino a Whalley Abbey - Clitheroe

“I was very much looking forward to my stay the the Hotel , it was a treat for myself as i was attending a wedding over the weeknd However i dont think i will be back any time soon :-( I stayed in room 16 and there was a loud noise coming from the bathroom ( not sure what is was ) but I had definitely no sleep at all. Reported to reception but they seem not be bothered at all. Also very loud noise in the evenings. Seen few men's in they underwear running up and down. The corridor knocking to...

“Beautiful entrance and bar area however room very dated and old. Painted furniture had lots of scuff and scrape marks no telephone to call reception or order room service, no refrigerator. Pool was closed when we arrived (16.00). Gym very minimal.”

“Beautiful cottage. Wonderful decor and spotless. Lovely comfy bed and great nights sleep as area so peaceful. Wonderful village main street just 3 mins walk to pubs and lovely eateries.”

“Perfect bolthole. It feels like stepping into a nicer universe. We stayed in a yurt again, and admittedly, the ensuite is rustic and chilly as you would expect but the main yurt was cosy and luxe even when the weather was cold. Staying on a Thursday night meant food was available and live entertainment!”

“Absolutely perfect! Stayed here with my brothers for a birthday gathering and family get together. The rooms are lovely with everything you need, staff are friendly and helpful, food (breakfasts and evening meals) plentiful and tasty. Great value!”

“Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...

“Beautiful location with spectacular views. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated and the bathroom was stunning. Breakfast is very good and they offer both buffet and full cooked options. The things that let it down were more to do with the poor staff attitude that we encountered at Sunday lunch and when I tried to check into our room. They didn’t seem interested in helping us and didn’t get our stay off to a great start.”

“Lovely decor in the hotel. Our suite was gorgeous. We ate in the restaurant and it was lovely, great menu. The pub is very cosy, very relaxed feel to it.”

“The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean it just lacked air con and with a tiny bedroom window regardless on the heating not being on there was hardly and airflow within the room. Couldnt fault anything else had a lovely stay”

“Quirky with some lovely staff in the evening in the restaurant. The gardens are also beautiful but small things could really enhance the hotel to get more from its potential. My stay improved after a few small disappointments. The room was warm and quiet. The meal on the second night was excellent (first night's green curry with poppadoms was less so and lacking in flavour).”

“Camera silenziosissima pur essendo in zona tangenziale , letto comodo. Pulizia discutibile , una sera si sono dimenticati di rifare il letto e di passare il pavimento (capelli ovunque). Colazione nella media, abbastanza varia, ma i tavoli venivano ripuliti di rado e dopo l’ora di punta non si trovava un posto pulito dove sedersi.”
