They were so helpful in arranging an early check-in for us and even found a room where we could get ready before attending a wedding, which made the whole day much less stressful. Everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. “Good value, but it's true that you "get what you pay for". The room was extremely hot so we weren't able to get sleep, and the noises from the motorway were quite loud- Although that can't really be helped. The staff member we spoke to at check-in was very helpful. Beds were made and clean (although not very comfortable, but that could be a preference thing). One duvet was stained, but that was only noticeable when I stripped the bed at the end of the stay to help housekeeping. Overall, I...

“A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away.”

“Main issues were a) the "bistro" and bar area looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Most of the dining tables had been replaced by a pool table and dart boards. Broken or unused furniture was piled up at the side of the room. After taking one look, we decided that eating here was not an option. Similar unwanted furniture etc was piled up on the stairs to the second floor. All in all, there is no way this could be described as a tidy place b) our room was immemdiately above the bar....
