Thanks for the review anonymous, score not great but comments make up for it and it is good to know we fulfilled the Bed & Breakfast part of the deal. Your other points, the car has now gone, they're drive they're business. We have plans to tidy our entrance area, we normally let you in unless the door has not been fully closed so that could have been the reason for your confusion. We have refurbed 4 of 6 rooms, I am glad you appreciated that it was clean and comfortable.

Thanks for the review glad we were nearly perfect :-). As for breakfast, we are an English B&B so we serve English breakfast as you would expect any where in the world. We do have a wide variety including veggie options, kippers and pastries and we are only too happy to get something specific if required. Pleased you enjoyed your stay.

Thanks for the review and we are pleased to know that you would come back and visit us again. We are just over a mile from town to be fair and on a local bus route and our excellent position just on the edge of town allows us to have the most spectacular views over town, across to Scotland and the Western fells.

Thanks for reviewing us at The Mansion and it's great you enjoyed your stay and we are delighted that you would stay again. Your point about about it being hilly and needing a car just about sums up the whole of the Western Lakes. It is however more than possible to get to us on public transport, there is a bus stop just up from the house and the National Express 541 from London stops with us every night so we technically have a direct link to the capital everyday. Hope this helps.
