Capanna di legno davanti al lago vicino al monte. La neve

Ho costruito personalmente questa splendida casa di tronchi artigianali nel 1998. È dotato di oltre 500 'di facciata sul bellissimo e tranquillo lago Sadawga, nella città di Whitingham, su otto acri alla fine di un chilometro di lunghezza, strada sterrata privata. Due lati veranda coperta, griglia a gas, tavolo con sedie e altalena per rilassarsi e godersi la vista sul lago. Ci sono quattro kayak lì per il tuo uso. Grande pesca, escursioni, kayak e la pace e la tranquillità che tutti meritano.

All'interno della cabina, c'è un camino da campo in pietra nel soggiorno spazioso e ultra confortevole, splendidi pavimenti in ciliegio e acero artigianali dagli alberi fuori dalla mia proprietà, cucina completa e bagno, e camera da letto con una regina e due gemelli letti. Loft principale con vasca idromassaggio, letto king size e bagno di servizio.

TV satellitare in soggiorno e camera da letto soppalcata.
All'interno troverete due serie di triple porte francesi nel soggiorno che offrono splendide viste sul lago e sulle montagne circostanti.

La privacy abbonda alla fine della strada sterrata, la casa è circondata da boschi e acqua.

Per i tuoi sport invernali, ci sono meno di 30 minuti per sciare a Mt Snow, e abbiamo accesso diretto al sistema di sentieri per motoslitte VAST, proprio fuori dalla proprietà.

Weekend in Whitingham

Our stay was wonderful at this home. The house was comfortable and very well appointed, especially for people who like to stay in and make meals instead of going out. The kayaks available for use were a great touch, and we enjoyed going out on the lake. The owner was very responsive and even made recommendations on restaurants and area amenities. 10/10 would recommend.

What an incredible property, town and area. If you’re looking to get away for a bit in New England, it’d be hard to beat this place. Absolutely loved it, close to many small towns with great food and shops and views. Will be back again!!

Better than expected!

Although we cut our stay short (due to weather), the time we spent at the cabin was better than expected. The pictures did not do this place justice! The cabin is beautiful and just what we needed to get away for the weekend. We’ll definitely book again for a longer stay next time—preferably when the weather is warmer! Communication with our host Bob was very easy, comfortable and helpful!

Perfect Getaway for Two!

We recently stayed at this charming cabin for a weekend getaway to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and it was perfect! The location on Sadawga Lake in Whitingham, Vermont is precisely what we were looking for—peaceful and quiet, with stunning lake views. We spent countless hours relaxing in the screened-in gazebo, enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful scenery without worrying about bugs. The lake is great to explore by kayak, provided by the host, with minimal traffic, a manageable size, and a floating island. If you're looking for a romantic escape or a quiet retreat, this cabin is perfect. We can't wait to come back again!

Tranquil Cabin Heaven!

I can’t say enough about our host, Bob, and this property. If you’re looking for a peaceful slice of heaven, this immaculate log cabin is the place. This is the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in and the attention to detail was incredible. The kitchen was super stocked and the furniture was comfortable, we immediately felt at home. The Firepit by the water was so relaxing and the fireplace inside was great to end the day. Thanks to Bob for the wood. Bob was extremely responsive and friendly, a really great host. Small towns were nearby and the drives were pretty. Bob also had two really clean grills with all the tools and a great porch swing for two. All we heard were geese and ducks for 5 days. Bob, thank you and your family for sharing your slice of heaven with others! You offer a really special experience that is tough to find.

Anniversary Retreat

From the moment we arrived we felt the magic. So peaceful we didn’t make it past the rocker on the porch and just sat and soaked in the sun and the breeze and the beautiful lake. Bob the builder picked the perfect spot. We then headed out on the kayaks for a delightful spin around the lake back in time to barbecue and eat appetizers and watch the sunset. Cozy by the fire for dinner and then movie night in the loft….next day sunrise paddle then breakfast on the porch and hiking and exploring the nature preserve and catamounts trails from Harriman to some rest. Some dricing arounf and back fro another enchanted evening. This morning s paddle in among the floating islands rewarded us with cranberries and then over th the preserve where we saw an eagle fishing….truly magical. Cant wait to come back!!!
