Pet-Friendly Historic Downtown 2BR Loft 1 block from riverwalk, walk everywhere

  • Welcome to the heart of downtown Wilmington, NC! This loft is privately tucked upstairs in the historic Shrier building with so much within walking distance:

    Steps to coffee, coworking, shopping, and dining
    1 block from the Wilmington Riverwalk
    2 blocks to Cape Fear Community College
    5 min walk to the Convention Center
    15 min walk to the Live Oak Bank Pavilion
    3 miles to Battleship NC
    7 miles to the University of Wilmington
    20 minute drive to Wrightsville Beach, 30 minutes to Carolina Beach!

    The space
    You will love the contrast of being right in the center of downtown while being able to walk up to a completely private loft with all the comforts of home. The walls are 12ft tall, providing such a spacious feel. The original floors give this place quite the charm, and the modern amenities will make you feel right at home. I LOVE the balcony overlooking Front Street. Talk about just sitting back, relaxing, people watching, and being able to enjoy the bustle from above.

    Guest access
    Entire Place. Quiet hours 10p-8a. No parties. Pets welcome! (I charge a flat fee of $100 just mark that you are bringing your pup and VRBO will automatically add the fee).

    No parking spaces for my loft. I park in the lot behind the building ($13/day) and sometimes find street parking right in front . There are several decks around and I just unload in the front (if space allows) and then I move my car. Street parking is free from 6:30pm-9:00am Monday through Saturday and free on Sunday.

    There is a walk up! One flight of stairs, no elevator.

    Sleeps 6 means: Two beds (one queen, one king) and one queen air mattress. As my spot is so spacious it comfortably sleeps 6. There is a sofa as well which you could always do one on the sofa and one on the air mattress, I guess it would depend on who draws the short straw in your party or who isn't paying haha. Please disclose all overnight guests so we can set up accordingly.

    I have a similar unit (more modern in style) exactly adjacent to this unit, within same walk up. If you are booking a bigger party, let me know.

Great host! Place was exactly as described, but honestly, it was bigger than I imaganied it would be. Also, the location was perfect. We could park the car and leave it since it’s in the most walkable space!

Fantastic location to so many great night spots and eateries. Can be a little loud at night with the bar next door. House was very clean, comfy and the balcony was just the best!

My granddaughter and I and my fur babies stayed in this wonderful VRBO!!! We were close to everything shops, great food, beach for sunrise and river for sunset and a very safe feeling community. The apartment was wonderfully clean and stocked with everything we needed. My granddaughter was thrilled with the record player and Frank Sinatra as well as the little veranda! I would highly recommend 217 N Front Street!!

Perfect location

We loved staying at this property. The owner was great, location also great, near shops, bars and riverside. It is also very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Could not recommend this highly enough.

Great location with a great balcony!

Fully equipped with everything you need and plenty of space! The balcony was absolutely cool, especially for the St. Patrick's Day oarade! Such a great location , can walk to everything Downtown.

Great spot right downtown!

We had an excellent time staying at this spot. The location is great, so close to bars, restaurants, shopping, and the riverfront. It’s very spacious and dog friendly, which can be hard to find. The property manager was easy to coordinate with and helpful. Highly recommend!

As STR owners ourselves, maintaining a 5star rating requires vigorous attention to detail. Having said that, the location of the loft was spot-on to all that happens downtown. Close enough for an easy walk anywhere but far enough from the nightlife a good nights rest was easy. This was easily the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed and would highly recommend.

10/10, would absolutely recommend! Our stay at this loft was fabulous from start to finish. The space is large, sparkling clean, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. Both the beds and the couches gave our group plenty of room to relax. We hit some rainy weather during our trip, but the host's fantastic board game collection (Monopoly Deal, Scrabble, and Connect Four) and classic record collection featuring Madonna and Michael Jackson kept us completely entertained.The balcony was a beautiful spot to enjoy the city. It’s located in a great, lively neighborhood with tons of restaurants within walking distance. It can get a little noisy on a Friday night, but that's just the hazard of being in such a perfect, central location!Our host was wonderful and highly responsive to all of our inquiries. She even went above and beyond by letting us check in early when rain threatened our initial outdoor arrival plans. Having a parking pass for a nearby lot made the logistics a breeze. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful place and excellent host

This location is perfect for downtown but the condo is so nice you may not want to leave. The host was very helpful and responded to all of my messages promptly. Definitely a trip to remember.

Business Comference

Came to Wilmington for a conference at the convention center. Rather than stay at one of the local hotels my colleague and I rented the two bedroom two bath apartment. It was wonderful.
