Ski and snowboard in winter, chase waterfalls and fall foliage in autumn, and hike, bike, and paddle in summer. After a day outdoors, come home to a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. Whether you're after powder, peaks, or a quiet escape, this is your year-round home base for Adirondack adventure.

Wake up to mountain air, river views, and the quiet rhythm of the Adirondacks. This modern rustic condo sits right on the Ausable River in one of Wilmington's most walkable and scenic spots, where nature, adventure, and small-town charm all meet.

Start your morning with coffee overlooking the river and Whiteface Mountain. The backyard is a riverside oasis shared only with the one other condo in the building, with hammocks, a fire pit, and a dock on the river (seasonal: the dock comes out of the water in early October and returns once the weather warms up). Restaurants, hiking trails, a sandy beach, and Wilmington Heritage Park are all within walking distance.

The location works in every season. Bike scenic routes in summer, catch the fall colors in autumn, and ski Whiteface, just a short drive away, in winter. Lake Placid is about 15 minutes away for an easy day trip.

You're also close to two classic Adirondack attractions: Santa's Workshop, a beloved family theme park since 1949 (seasonal hours, so check ahead), and the Whiteface Mountain Veterans' Memorial Highway, a scenic drive to the summit (open mid-May to early October).

FALL & WINTER 2026–27 EVENTS

Lake Placid Film Festival — Nov 5–8, 2026. The festival’s 25th anniversary, with award-winning shorts, features and filmmaker panels.

Ski Season at Whiteface Mountain. The greatest vertical drop in the East, just a short drive away. Opening day is usually mid-to-late November, depending on the weather.

Adirondack Winter Invitational — Nov 27–28, 2026. Six Division I college hockey games over Thanksgiving weekend at the 1980 Herb Brooks Arena: Clarkson, RIT, St. Lawrence and Merrimack men, plus St. Lawrence and Merrimack women.

Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll — Dec 11–13, 2026. A skating party, photos with Santa, a free movie and a scavenger hunt in a true winter wonderland.

IBSF Para Sport World Cup — Dec 17–18, 2026. World-class para bobsled and skeleton at Mt Van Hoevenberg.

Freestyle Aerials World Cup — Jan 15–16, 2027. The world’s top aerial skiers at the Olympic Jumping Complex.

Lake Placid Ski Jumping World Cup — Feb 6–7, 2027. Men’s and women’s World Cup ski jumping.

FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships — Mar 2–12, 2027 (pending final confirmation). The world’s best junior racers at Whiteface, right here in Wilmington.

Coming back Summer 2027: Wilmington Beach Concert Series
Wilmington's free Thursday-evening outdoor concerts at the Town Beach on Lake Everest return next summer! Bring a picnic, fire up the grill, and enjoy live music with Whiteface Mountain as your backdrop. Stay tuned for next year's lineup, a perfect reason to plan your next Adirondack getaway.

Guest access
Parking is located in front of the house and is uncovered, we can accommodate 2-3 vehicles. If you have a pick-up or longer vehicle, you can park in the right side of the house. Please note, the left side is a driveway and can't be blocked at any time. Across the street is the visitor center, you may park there temporarily if needed.

We use a self check in door code so no need to use keys.

- Note: The laundry room is located downstairs in the building. It is not inside the apartment itself. We also have a portable crib and high chair available. Please request if needed.

LOWER LEVEL ACCESS NOTICE:
Just a friendly reminder that the laundry room is the only guest-accessible area on the lower level. All other rooms and doors on that level are strictly for storage/staff use and are not permitted for guest entry.

Pets - We may allow pets on a case by case basis, please message us to see if we can accommodate. Cleaning fee applies. For the comfort of all guests, we are unable to accommodate cats on the property.

Backyard & Water Access Disclaimer:

We’ve made some updates to the backyard, including a new dock that provides seasonal water access.

Please note: Dock and water access are seasonal (late spring to early October).

The backyard also includes hammocks, extra chairs, and tables for you to relax and enjoy the space. The hammock and some outdoor games are located in the laundry room for your convenience.

The laundry room has also been improved and clearly labeled for easier access during your stay.

When water access is available, it is used at your own risk. No lifeguard or supervision is provided, and children must be supervised at all times near the water. Please be aware that surfaces may be uneven or slippery.

The property owner and management are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur while using these spaces.

We recommend bringing your own firewood so you can fully enjoy the outdoor fire pit during your stay. Firewood can also typically be purchased at nearby gas stations or from local vendors along the road.

This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $37 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

Due to the time needed to adequately clean the unit, we are not able to offer early check-in or late check-out. Please book an extra night if you would like to guarantee an early check- in or a late check- out.

If an unauthorized event occurs, a $500 fee will be charged. No parties or events are allowed, per policy.
