Naturalist's delight only 10 minutes to WDH

This Lodge offers a wonderfully comfortable and quiet experience with nature trails, and yet within 10 minutes drive to the Windhoek International Airport. The accommodations were excellent. The rate included Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. The food was very good and plentiful. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The accommodations were excellent. We would definitely recommend this Lodge.

In mezzo alla savana a due passi dall'aeroporto

Perfetto per la vicinanza con l'aeroporto ed immerso nella savana. Strutture semplici ma spaziose e pulite (abbiamo soggiornato negli economy Bungalow). Personale cortese e disponibile. Rapporto qualità-prezzo imbattibile.

Die Bungalows sind funktional. Keine Netze vor Fenstern und fehlende Klimatisierung waren bei den Temperaturen nachts unerträglich.

La entrada es complicada, el personal distante y poco receptivo. El alojamiento estaba muy alejado de la zona común y lo peor es de noche que tienes que cruzar un largo sendero completamente oscuro. La ducha tenía tela de araña y el baño hormigas. La cena en relación al precio: poca y básica. Había mucha desorganización. Muy caro para el malo servicio que dan. El transfers al aeropuerto súper caro 25 euros por persona, estando justo en frente. Resumiendo un camping malo con precio de hotel.

Die Zimmer haben weder Ventilator noch Klimaanlage(vor allem im Sommer Namibias wichtig!)! Der Kuchen zum Kaffee am Nachmittag wird nur auf Nachfrage angeboten obwohl im Preis eingeschlossen! Die teuersten Zimmer mit Terrasse sollten für den Preis besser gereinigt werden! Wenn man am Abend erst abfliegt sollte man sich kostenlos auf der Anlage oder im Zimmer aufhalten können, vor allem wenn man wie wir 5 Tage im teuersten Zimmer gewohnt hat! Man muss trotzdem ca. 75 Euro für den Verbleib im Zimmer oder ca. 30 Euro für den Aufenthalt ohne Zimmer bezahlen!!! Das habe ich in anderen Ländern noch nie erlebt! Hier wird der Gast schamlos zur Kasse gebeten und abgezockt! Das ärgert umso mehr , wenn man beobachtet wie sich das Personal stundenlang in den teuren Zimmern ausruht anstatt anständig zu putzen , zu gießen und die Anlage zu pflegen! Das deutschsprachige Management sollte hier besser kontrollieren! Wer viel verlangt sollte einen besseren Kundenservice bieten.

Nothing in the booking info explained that this was a self catering room 500 metres from the main hotel. I am 66, was travelling alone, and have a problem knee. I had to pay N$727.61 to upgrade to a room at the main lodge. The staff were concerned and helpful. The supper was quite pleasant. The room was so hot that I could not sleep.

Wir haben nach der langen Anreise drei Tage im Appartment zur Erholung gebucht. Für den Preis sollte ein Appartment wenigstens mit Ventilatoren ausgestattet sein, vor allem im Sommer Namibias bei 35 Grad im Schatten! Auf Anfrage von uns und anderen Gästen,wurde ein Ventilator verweigert! Wir sollen uns übers Internet beschweren, damit für die Zukunft Ventilatoren vom Management angeschafft werden, wurde uns an der Rezeption mitgeteilt!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

The most shocking experience in a 'hotel' I've ever had! 1. No amenities in the room i.e. Soap, toilet paper, shampoo etc (Didn't expect much but actually got ZERO!) 2. Booked an early morning airport transfer that never pitched. Had to wake another guest with a vehicle to get to the airport. (4.30am) 3. Not a single staff member on the premises at night. (Found this out at 4.30am when trying to get a transfer to the airport.) 4. No emergency numbers or muster points indicated. 5. A power failure for more than 24 hours. Had to ask for candles at reception - which was lit up very well with electricity??? 6. Very expensive meals which were hideous and VERY basic. 7. No tv or decent wifi 8. No aircon or fans. 9. Booked self catering units but was told they were a 500m walk through the bush with absolutely no lighting or staff to escort you. (We then 'upgraded' to a vastly more expensive option which was hideous - as listed above.) 10. Incredibly rude & confrontational reception staff who didn't care at all that the airport transfer didn't arrive. 11. Very expensive airport transfers considering how close the airport is.

Huono kokemus

Huoneessa ei ollut minkäänlaista tuuletusta, ei ilmastointia eikä edes mahdollisuutta avata ikkunaa, koska hyttysverkkoja ei ollut ikkunoissa. Nukkuminen ei onnistunut kuumuuden takia. Ötököitä vilisi lattioilla, seinillä ja jopa sängyssä.

For 1 Night only it is great.

The place is close-by to the airport which is great. Other than that there is no TV, no airconditioning, no wi-fi, lots of insects and extremely hot. The place is safe but I could not sleep well. If you looking for an adventure stay at the Ondekaremba self-catering chalets

La política del hotel no contempla reembolsos

He tenido una experiencia desagradable con este hotel, ya que no pudimos estar la noche de la reserva por retraso del vuelo, por el contrario llegamos un día más tarde y nos cobraron la estancia a pesar de que ya habíamos pagado una noche que no pudimos distrutar por causas ajenas a nuestra voluntad. El personal del hotel nos dijo que expedia se haría cargo del reembolso, no siendo así hasta el momendo debido a la política del hotel

bon acceuil mais chalet assez loin batiment principal sauf si voiture - pas d'éclairage pour se rendre à pied après repas du soir - service de repas du soir tres tres lent (2 heures pour repas unique !!!) - manque de réactivité du personnel aux demandes - panier repas pouvant être demandé pour le lendemain midi. lodge proche aéroport (7 km - intérêt si avion à prendre tôt le matin), mais coût navette tres cher (470 Dollars Namibiens soit 24 euros pour 7 Km !!!), mais à l'heure. Sunset à faire sauf 2 km à pied des bâtiments principaux - Aire de picnic et barbecue avec petite piscine (voir photos), mais à 1 km à pied des bâtiments

Gute Lage zum Flughafen

Ein typisches Hotel für eine Vorabend-Anreise beim Rückflug. Der Charme liegt vor allem in der räumlichen Nähe zum Flughafen (ca. 15 Minuten Fahrzeit), was sich aber der Veranstalter mit 430 Namibia-$ pro Person stattlich bezahlen lässt. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt- trotz Pool und ruhiger Lage- ist es aber nicht zu empfehlen.

Sehr unorganisierte Lodge

Unterkunft ist in Ordnung. Sauber und nahe beim Flughafen. Der Service war jedoch sehr schlecht. Angestelle sind total unorganisiert. Nachtessen war gut, wurde jedoch kalt serviert. Minimales Frühstücksbuffet, welches nur nach mehrfachem Nachfragen aufgefüllt wird. Der Flughafentransfer, welcher einen Tag zuvor gebucht wurde (sehr teuer), ging vergessen. Wir wurden somit 30 Minuten später als vereinbart an den Flughafen gebracht. Empfangsdame war zudem sehr unfreundlich als wir nach dem Grund der Verspätung fragten.

Comfortable lodging well situated near airport

Great rooms with lots of space. Excellent breakfast and other meals. Very friendly service. Loved the wild animals in close proximity. Wifi in reception area.
