“They need to give up the non-contact, mobile key situation. Really made life difficult. Not everyone has an IPhone or might even have too low a battery. Should use key cards with a long heavy tassel or wooden tag so guests are reminded to return the key card. Better anyway to have an actual key card in case of fire and/or loss of power and/or cell service goes on the blink.”

“Everything was lovely. Great owners. Be aware that Salem does not allow for inns to cook full breakfasts for guests. If you are allergic to or sensitive to cats, be aware that the owners have several cats.”

“The restaurant staff were exceptional. They were friendly and ready to provide an excellent breakfast. The staff at the desk were another story. We came a little early. She let us put our stuff down but with an attitude. We went back after 4:00 and I guess we were expected to know that we were supposed to get a text message with the information. “The room was great- exactly as described. The gentleman owner was kind - lived on the premises and spent a lot of our stay mowing the lawn and working in the gardens. Would be a bit uncomfortable for femme people traveling alone, but a good set up for people looking for conversation or company. ”

“Nice stay in beautiful Marblehead. Pros: Great location to sites and beach. As a solo traveler, I felt safe. Bright, clean rooms and comfortable bed. Beautiful grounds. Convenient, free off street parking Cons: I must have read old info. No breakfast or bikes on hand. The brief time I met staff was helpful but then no staff btwn 6pm and 10:30am. The AC unit was extremely loud. I did not get a good night's rest because it was too humid without AC and too loud with it on even at the lowest...
