- Offering wonderful views from almost every window, rustic interiors that perfectly reflect the peaceful scenic surroundings and extensive secluded gardens, it would be hard to find a more welcoming, pet-friendly colonial-style hideaway perfectly placed to enjoy the woodland, coastline and heritage of this fabulous corner of Suffolk.
Boasting a rustic interior with a soothing neutral colour, exposed timber beams, an impressive wooden-clad ceiling and plenty of natural sunlight, find peace and tranquillity at this lodge after a day’s adventure. Whip up a feast in the spacious kitchen/diner to feed the crowd seated around the rustic wooden dining table and enjoy making special family memories over dinner. As the evening draws in, warm chilly toes beside the roaring wood burner in the lounge before hunkering down on the leather sofas for a film night in front of the TV. When you can’t resist the call of bedtime, you have one en-suite bedroom on this level, a second bedroom upstairs plus the master bedroom. Outside, private grounds wrap around the lodge; play garden games on the lawn before following the trickling sounds to reach the pretty pond.
Situated on the banks of the River Deben, the small town of Lower Ufford just less than two miles away offers some fantastic walking country with some pretty country lanes and trails to discover. Soothe weary walking muscles by enjoying a spa day at Ufford Park 1.5 miles away, set in 120 acres of historic parkland and surrounded by beautifully unspoilt countryside. Head to nearby Woodbridge (5 miles) to stroll along its wonderful riverside trails and discover some fabulous local produce from the market and array of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. Coastal explorers can answer the call of the sea at Aldeburgh 16 miles away.
