} Libro degli ospiti: l'abbiamo fatto qui molto facilmente la scorsa notte e siamo elettrizzati. Abbiamo anche fatto l'escursione stamattina e l'abbiamo adorato - siamo saliti in cima al Monte. Guardiano come dai tuoi appunti, e hai trovato quel punto segreto in cui guardavi Cooper Lake ... I saluti hanno trascurato la montagna ieri - i panorami erano stupefacenti - anche se non eravamo abbastanza coraggiosi da arrivare a Indian Head. Abbiamo anche trovato la nostra strada per il buco del nuoto e ci è piaciuto molto ... Come sono sicuro che tu possa dire, lo amiamo qui e volevamo vedere se ti interessava affittare la casa per noi il weekend del Columbus Day ... Sicuramente un po 'uno shock per tornare in città dopo i nostri giorni sul monte. Custode.

Libro degli ospiti: Ci siamo davvero divertiti nelle Catskills e la casa era incantevole - esattamente quello che stavamo cercando. Penso che abbiamo visto una lince rossa, anche se confesso di non conoscere la fauna nordamericana. L'abbiamo visto abbastanza vicino alla casa. In ogni caso, ci è piaciuto rimanere nella tua incantevole vacanza in foresta. Tutto era fantastico e l'escursione dalla casa alla vista era un tale bonus. Anche un'attività che puoi includere per i futuri ospiti è la tubatura interna di Phoenica. Che esplosione!

We love everything about this cabin. This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. The kitchen has all the tools you could ever need. The outdoor screened in porch is where we spent all our time with our 2 dogs. The beds were comfortable. The linens were luxurious. We walked everyday up the hill and took the hike up the mountain described in the welcome book. Wildlife runs abundantly throughout the grounds. We saw deer, bear, chipmunks, owls, and many woodpeckers one afternoon. The cabin is close to the hustle and bustle of town but far enough away providing peace and serenity.

Beautiful house in the woods. Nice porch with a great view of the woods. Home was very clean and well kept. Comfortable beds. No problem checking in or out. Only a short drive to town. Highly recommend!

the PERFECT cozy getaway cabin!

My husband and I were looking to get out of town and relax in a place with beautiful scenery - we also wanted to bring our 3 (well-behaved) dogs….this cabin is an absolute DREAM! It is perfectly situated among the trees with beautiful views. The property is well-maintained, very clean, and fully stocked with essentials and more (eased my mind when packing)Our pups LOVED sitting on the screened in porch and exploring around the property and nearby trails. The hosts are wonderful and quick to respond to any questions! I could go on and on about this wonderful place - absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely mountain getaway! We hope to be back soon!

perfect weekend get away

We felt as though we were staying at a friends cabin. Very homey and warm. A few great woodland walks near enough that we didn't need to get in a car. Close enough to town but far enough that you felt removed from the world. Dog loved it too.

Perfect Catskills Spot

This is a great home to stay at to explore the surrounding Catskills. It is comfy, has all of the kitchen things you need to cook with, super clean, and is a four-paws up place to bring your dogs. It is secluded in the woods and at night you can hear the different owls that inhabit the area. There are numerous hiking trails in the surrounding mountains and the town of Woodstock is just down the road. Maura and Raymond have provided everything you need for a fun stay at their home; plenty of firewood for the wood stove, lots of charcoal for the grill, reliable internet since there is no cell service (too high up on the side of the mountain). You only need to bring your suitcase and hiking shoes. We try and find places in our travels that we want to return to, and this is one of them. Thank you Maura and Raymond.

Heavenly

This is one of the best rentals I've ever stayed in. The setting was gorgeous, even in the rain! It was woodsy and peaceful, yet close to Woodstock and neighboring towns. The home was equipped with everything you could want, and I especially appreciated the many books about local history and wildlife. I felt like I was visiting a good friend's home, not a soulless rental. I would love to stay here again in the future.

60th Birthday Getaway

The location of the cabin couldn't be more perfect. GPS is a must to find it which is why it I will be booking again. Hosts are very attentive and quick to reply. Our 3 dogs loved spending time outside in the screened porch. We had a few really warm nights that we "camped" out there too. Our only discomfort was the lack of screens on all the windows. (Hence the night camping on the porch). Beautiful home, lovely surroundings. Great time! Already planning another visit in the fall🍁!

Great Spot

This place is nestled in a beautiful area outside of Woodstock. The place is only 10 minutes from center of town. Very quiet, very clean and just a lovely place to get away from it all. We loved it!

A magical Christmas home

This home is nestled in a beautiful piece of wooded property with privacy quiet and beautiful sunlit windows. The kitchen was expertly equipped to handle our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners. The wood burning stove provided just the right atmosphere for an evening fire. The television equipment was phenomenal.

quiet and spacious cabin in the woods

We sat every night on the screened in porch and listened to the owls. The area is peaceful with the Tibetan monastery down the road, and also hiking trails down the road. We were surprised by the spaciousness of the cabin. There are two small ponds and it was fun watching the newts and salamanders swim around. The place is dog friendly and my dogs had a great time. There are neighbors, but they arent right on top of you, and were very quiet as well. The proximity to the garlic festival and to woodstock made this an ideal location for us. We hope to return. :)

You’ll love the porch!

This home is a perfect retreat. Its mountaintop location is so peaceful and the woodland setting is very pretty. There are lovely small ponds on the grounds too. You can slightly see other houses, but the grounds are still very private. It’s the kind of house where you take great afternoon naps and sleep restfully at night. The screened-in porch and the fire pit are just the best. Our beagle loved exploring the great outdoors. The hosts were very pleasant and responsive, and we found we had absolutely everything we needed.

Magical Location

The property is a very comfortable size for a couple and has lots of charm. Surrounded by woods and trees, it is a real getaway from the city. From many rooms, you have the feel of being in the trees. The screened in porch is a tranquil sitting area with candles to light into the night. The house is well stocked and tv surround sound system is an added bonus. No problems at all but Ray is always responsive and ready to help. Also enjoyed the town nearby. Great all around.

Cabin in the mountains

My husband and I frequently stay in the Catskills as one of our favorite getaways (with our dog). Our stay at Mt Guardian in late summer did not disappoint. The house itself had everything we needed, this is clearly a home they have enjoyed plenty of time in over the years, not one of those oddly empty rentals that is merely a business. Location wise this was one of my favorites, 5-10 minutes to everything you might need in town (grocery/pharmacy/coffee/restaurants), 20 minutes in any direction gets you to some great hikes or any entrance for the ashokan rail trail, 30 to Kingston, less than 1 hr to Hudson/Art Omi. Despite the convenience this is on a short gravel road up on a mountainside, no cell signal (Wi-Fi’s good), a few neighbors, deer passing through and owls to be heard. The view of the trees from the big windows in the living room is amazing. I might be a bit nervous to do the drive up in the winter but I’m sure it is beautiful then too. We enjoyed reading on the back screened in porch, cooking dinner and as others have mentioned the great sound system for movies at night. I reached out to Raymond a few times and he was very responsive and helpful. His binder covers much of the information you may be looking for or need. If you’re looking for a true mountain cabin getaway to immerse yourself in the Catskills this is a wonderful option in the Woodstock/Bearsville area. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful long weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cabin. The pictures do not do this wonderful house justice. We spent every night on the screened in porch , overlooking the ponds, listening to and watching nature unfold. We saw amazing wildlife. The house is fully stocked for all your cooking needs. The hosts are quick to respond with any questions. In town we dined at Silvia, which was delicious and enjoyed drinks at early terrible/mud club (a must see ). Also worth mentioning is the monastery at the base of overlook mountain. Upstate New York has so much to offer. We can not wait to return.
