Questa eccezionale casa di rimesse ristrutturata è situata in una proprietà privata di 250 acri. Tutte le finestre si affacciano su campi indisturbate, le montagne, e la valle di Woodstock. La proprietà circostante di 250 acri è privato e non sviluppata. C'è una piccola fattoria con cavalli e mucche stagionali. Durante i mesi estivi mucche pascolano alcuni dei campi lontani pure. Ci sono più stagni appartati che possono essere pescate per la trota o per visualizzare cervi, anatre, uccelli rapaci e altri animali selvatici. La struttura dispone di miglia di sentieri per escursioni private e ampi giardini che sono stati presentati in pubblicazioni locali e molto ricercato per artista in cerca di pittura di paesaggio e appassionati di giardinaggio. Gli ospiti sono invitati a fare uso di tutta la struttura naturale!

Margarete and Alice welcomed us upon arrival. The house was the quintessential New England home! It was super clean, our bed was very comfortable with soft welcoming linens. The views are incredible, and the property provided much needed peace and tranquility. The weather was not the best but we managed to find plenty to do in the area. Alice, Margarete's black lab, took us for a hike on the property. She was an excellent playful guide! We look forward to returning to this peaceful retreat in the mountains.

WONDERFUL! Margarete, our hostess, was absolutely the best. We visited almost daily and thoroughly enjoyed her stories and spending time with her. The property was perfect for our stay and the mountains and trees were beautiful!

Fantastic week spent in the Carriage House. The view from the back porch is so perfect and serene and the house is spacious and so relaxing. Our hosts were among the best we’ve encountered; Andrew provided excellent insight on where to go and what to do and Margarete was an absolute delight! We will definitely stay with you again when In Vermont! If you’re looking for THE perfect getaway that’s close to everything but secluded on a lovely farm, look no further. Loved it!!

The carriage house was exactly as described, but the setting in fields and hills could not be captured in photos -- beautiful and changing with time and light. Andrew was the official host, who was very helpful in advance, but his mother, living across the road, was the on-site host and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The location was ideal: quiet and scenic, but a 7-minute drive to Woodstock village. But don't bring your Lamborghini -- the dirt road is rough!

What a wonderful experience we had this past weekend staying at this quaint carriage house. It was everything we needed to spend a quick ski trip with our son. The morning views were serene and relaxing. Just what we wanted to get from visiting VT. The town of Woodstock was quintessential New England. Andrew was responsive to our questions. Margarete was a sweetheart and there to greet us and show us around the house. We will be back in the future.

This two-bedroom cottage nestled above Woodstock is perfection. After the owner and her daughter gave us a tour and left, my eighteen-year-old son turned to me and pronounced that, at last, he had found the perfect, cozy-yet-modernized house. "Whatever this style is called....THIS is what I want my house to look like," he gushed. My son and I went to Vermont for a retreat over his winter break, and we enjoyed two worlds while staying in this house: the bustling, small-town world of Woodstock proper and the peaceful, sanctuary experience of nature that this cottage offers. Although I am back in Philadelphia now, just thinking about the view from the living room window lowers my blood pressure. The owner, Margarete, and her daughter were lovely, thoughtful, gracious souls. Thank you.

The carriage house is perfect! My husband, our dog, and I spent a long weekend at this beautiful property and were so charmed. All we can say is we experienced "Vermont vacation perfection". All of the previous reviews about the property, the setting, the views, the town are all "spot on". Margarete and her dog, Alice, greeted us on our arrival and were so welcoming and fun to talk with. The Carriage House was very clean and comfortable and the views from the windows and deck are post-card worthy. It was hard to leave at the end of the week and we plan to visit again as soon as our schedule allows. Thank you Margarete!

The Carriage House near Woodstock, VT was a wonderful experience. Everything about the house was exceptional. Not only was it located in such a beautiful area of Vermont, but the hostess and neighbors were very friendly and welcoming as well.
