Suffice it to say, if you need a breakaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, you cannot go wrong! “Amazing place. Jan the host was super attentive. Everything was pristine. Cottage serviced twice a day. Fresh fruit, water and chocolates provided daily. Bottle of wine on arrival. Pool and terrace area for private use was fabulous. Jan kept us updated on load shedding ie when and if the electricity would be off, and was always available for any questions or recommendations. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Can’t wait to return. ”

“I recently spent three weeks at De Hoop with my fiance and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The cottage was small and simple, but contained everything that one requires as advertised. Perfect hot shower/water, with both indoor and outdoor braai. Great views of the mountains, lovely shaded porch, great trails to walk on the farm and dams to swim in.”

“A case of complete miss representation. From photos and description obtained on line, we expected a self contained bed_ sitting room with kitchenette . Instead we got one bedroom up some rickety stairs with a shelf unit and narrow hanging cupboard . Utensils for kitchen were totally inadequate . Saving grace, a great bed , fridge and micro wave.”

“We had booked this property as a stayover for my mum who was needing to be at the hospital nearby early the next morning. The day of booking the property the owner called after 9pm to enquire where the payment was to which we explained it was purchased on hotels.com AND that the trip was for my SICK mother. After struggling to find someone to assist us on arrival we we where taken to our cottage. The cottage had an overpowering smell of room spray that burnt your eyes. it was very clear that...

“Everything was fine. There are 6 dogs, they are lovely, but be sure that your children and/or partner are not scared of them since they around the cottage all the time. The farm manager is very polite and welcoming. The cottage where we stayed was really nice.”
