“was able to park just in front of stable room
work is in progress at the property so didnt look its best on the outside,inside was fab we had everything we needed plus extras like fridge ,toaster,microwave plenty of plates mugs dishes good drinks making equipment,single beds were comfy and spotless,tv was a bit confusing but we managed in the end,we had a lot of noise on the 2 nd evening and early morning could have been the workmen🙄
the royal oak pub is extremely welcoming drinks and meals...

“Absolute little gem of a place, just off the beaten track. Proper old world pub with the friendliest hosts I’ve ever met.
Will definitely be back to try the food as we arrived too late to eat.
Please give this little place a try you won’t regret it. ”

“Beautiful property and unique experience staying in the castle. The staff were very friendly and welcoming - they looked after us very well.
Beware some of the castle rooms require you to go up a spiral staircase which is a bit of a climb with a suitcase. The staff very helpful and will help with luggage tho.
Evening meal was adequate only as there was limited options which interested us.
However breakfast was amazing cooked to order and great variety to suit all diets.

“The bar was well stocked great pub atmosphere. Our twin room was lovely and spacious. Beds were comfy. Host were friendly left us in peace. The back door was easy quick exit for leaving. There is room for improvement on the corridor to the stairs of our room. Overall would happily stay again. Did not try the food.”
