Be careful which room you choose. The windows in the cheaper rooms do not open. When I stayed in mid-March, the central A/C had not yet shifted to cool air, and as I result my initial room was very warm and stuffy. After the first night, I changed to a room with a window that opens.
Although the hallway smelled of cigarette smoke, my room was fine!
Very convenient location for sightseeing in the old city!
Many of the staff at the front desk speak English, but some do not. We were able to communicate using translation apps.
The buffet breakfast (7:00-9:30am)--although not gourmet--was good! If you oversleep, there's a 24-hour Chinese fast food restaurant across the street.
