I stayed here with my daughter for a few days' sightseeing and we would definitely go back if in Xian. Really comfortable and well equipped. You'll need to take a taxi to any of the main sights and Xian traffic can rival Beijing for jams, so leave loads of time. If you come in on the high speed train from Beijing , a cab will take around an hour. The staff were friendly and helpful and did their best to help when a few things went wrong - nothing major - a dishwasher malfunction, for instance. They did try to charge me both in check in and check out - I'd already paid on Expedia - but it was just a mistake. They advised me to go to a backstreet shop to get trAin tickets for our onward journey - bad advice, wSted half a day and we ended up buying tickets as normal at the station - no problem at all, even for first class on the same day. I think the staff really want to help but perhaps just need a little more support and guidance in providing the kind of advice and service you'd normally get in an international hotel. But they were very nice indeed, very approachable and they really did try.
