“The hotel is a bit dated, but the outdoor garden areas are very nice. The check in staff was not particularly welcoming. Our main issue was that there was no room service at all unless you asked for it in advance but we were never told we needed to ask. At check-in we should have been asked if we want room service or at least be told we would have to ask to get it. Therefore we stayed 3 days with no room service despite paying $300 a night. “Historical building with lots of character, lobby fireplace was warming on a rainy day. The first floor lobby and dining rooms are very dark, great atmosphere but bring a little flashlight. Met a lot of nice people during our stay. The welcoming scotch was fantastic. We heard the breakfast was minimal. It was not, filled with all kinds of homemade apple strudel, mushroom quiche, chocolate pastries, many other delicious sweet muffins, etc.”

“They had to change our room during late night after we had complaint on AC, but new room didn’t had enough amenities of microwave, stove and big refrigerator. We had to run to lobby to use microwave even for warming up milk. Staff had to consider this and please take care of maintenance. Apart from this bad experience, everything was good.”

“The room smelled like someone peed in the corner and had little piles of insect debris under the window. The beds were comfy but made awful noises when you moved. The clerk at check in was not very informative. Breakfast selections were minimal and not appetizing. Giving this booking an overall "okay" rating is generous. We stayed in 4 different hotels along our vacation trip and this was by far the worst. Thankful it was only over night to get some rest and move on.”
