Unfortunately, our experience at Villa S was very different from many of the positive reviews. We are a family of four who have rented villas in the Canary Islands twice a year for the past decade, so we are familiar with the standards typically expected.On arrival, the exterior clearly required maintenance, with flaking plaster around the stairways, dining area and pool, and weeds growing through the tiles and plant pots. Inside there were damp patches in all bedrooms and the downstairs living area, and the bedding felt damp. Most concerning was the highchair we had requested, which had been placed under a leaking water tank and was soaked and covered in mould. This was replaced quickly after we reported it.We also experienced several power issues during our stay, including losing power to half the house. The microwave had to be removed from the units and left on the breakfast bar, while the sewer pump was temporarily powered by an extension lead, causing unpleasant smells.We were told the owner would visit to discuss the issues, but despite waiting all day no one arrived and there was no communication. Despite sending photos and multiple emails, the agency offered only a small refund. Sadly, we would not recommend this property.
