“You get what you pay for but no complaints at all. The staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Our room was basic and clean but had what we needed. Breakfast is self service . Good choice and great views across the valley. It’s a good 10 minutes walk from the train station, all up hill so a taxi may be needed if you mobility is not too good. ”

“The host was superb and very accommodating to our needs. We needed to stay another night and he graciously made room for us. He helped us locate restaurants, bus stops and Exeter sites. And he was a pleasant conversationalist. He always made us feel welcome.”

“We had a lovely stay in Hare's Hideout. It was clean and set in very peaceful surroundings. Our host Gemma, was friendly and helpful but never intrusive...a perfect balance! Tea/coffee etc was restocked daily, and bottled water was supplied every day. Would highly recommend and would definitely return!”

“Davvero molto carino il contesto, personale gentilissimo e posizione perfetta, a un passo dall'uscita dell'autostrada. Se state girando la Cornovaglia e l'Inghilterra in auto è davvero perfetto. Bagno cieco senza finestre, ma davvero ampio e con doccia molto confortevole. Colazione molto buona, noi l'abbiamo fatta al bar adiacente, dove ci hanno portato uova fresche e ci hanno servito un perfetto english breakfast!”

“Liz and Paul were very friendly and took all our requests and answered them quickly. Breakfast was out of this world. Room was very clean and plenty of sockets for all your things that needed charging, it was also very spacious. Liz was always there to answer any questions and Paul was always around but not seen very much as he was probably chained to the range dealing with all the breakfasts, but very pleasant when you did see him :-). We will definitely be returning. Many thanks for pleasant...

“Had a great stay at the Somerville I can see why it gets such good reviews. Lovely place to stay and just a short walk down to the marina and restaurants. Great hosts really look after you can't give them enough praise. Will definitely be going back for another visit.”

"A place to be when you have kids and do not fancy to splash into the cold waters of the Riviera: the swimming pools at TLH are cool! And the one indoor is warm too. Conveniently located near the seafront, and lical gardens and Torre Abbey. Easy distance to churches, shops and restaurants. Food is ok but reasonably priced. Kids go free and we say Thank You. I appreciate the rooms NOT being serviced every day because guests must be responsible of keeping their space tidy anyway. The only 🚫🚫 is the lack of bins to differentiate trash: it's 2025 and a sustainable clean behavior must not go on holiday but be encouraged by adding due bins. "
