  • Progettato pensando alle famiglie, la casa è perfetta anche per piccoli gruppi. Molte delle considerazioni degli ospiti sono state prese in considerazione durante la creazione di questa proprietà - letti comodi, biancheria da letto bella, essenziale (shampoo, gel doccia, tè, caffè), WiFi veloce e grande TV con Netflix.

    La proprietà è stata ristrutturata e arredata ad un livello molto alto dai proprietari, fornendo una splendida casa per le vacanze che comprende quanto segue: Open space Lounge, sala da pranzo e cucina, piccolo ripostiglio al piano terra, tre camere da letto (un bagno) e un bagno ai piani superiori.

    L'accogliente salotto ha un grande divano a 3 posti in pelle e due poltrone attorno a una stufa elettrica a legna. Una grande TV è posizionata sopra la stufa sul comignolo che è collegata a una scatola di Apple TV che ha un account Netflix, per coloro che desiderano rilassarsi in una sera.

    La sala da pranzo ha un grande tavolo e sei sedie e un sacco di spazio. La lussuosa cucina completamente attrezzata con piani di lavoro in marmo comprende un forno elettrico / grill e un piano cottura a gas Aga. Un grande frigorifero in stile americano con acqua filtrata e ghiaccio, microonde, tostapane e lavastoviglie.

    Fuori dalla cucina c'è un piccolo ripostiglio che ha una lavasciuga, un lavandino e un utile servizio igienico al piano di sotto. Il parcheggio è sulla strada nella parte anteriore della proprietà con un permesso.

    Il cortile posteriore è un bel posto per sedersi in una serata calda. Un posto perfetto per un caff�� al mattino all'aperto o un bicchiere di vino serale.

    La camera da letto principale ha un letto in ferro king size, con un sacco di armadi e un bagno con doccia en-suite con lavabo e wc. La camera da letto posteriore ha un comodo letto matrimoniale, armadio singolo e una cassettiera. Loft / terza camera ha due letti singoli, (si prega di notare che su richiesta questi possono essere fatti per formare un letto king size - anche se gli ospiti devono essere consapevoli del fatto che questa stanza ha limitazioni di altezza della testa di essere all'interno dello spazio del tetto. C'è un lettino da viaggio disponibile per l'uso.

    Il bagno principale è costituito da un ampio bagno con doccia, wc, bidet e lavabo.

Central but quiet location.

A very well equipped house with tasteful furnishings and high quality bed linen and towels. The welcome pack was generous and thoughtful with fresh flowers on the table to greet us. An excellent base to explore York.

Extended Family Stay

We stayed here for an extended period due to work. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is fantastic; it is within the York walls and very walkable to everything in town. We initially had issue with the WiFi due to my husband needing it to be reliable for work, and they made the effort to upgrade it so it was fast enough. The kitchen is nicely stocked, comfortable beds, and plenty of space for our family of 6. We would recommend this property.

Perfect York Stay

This is a great family home within easy walking distance of the city centre. Comfy beds, big fluffy towels, and a very relaxing environment. We loved our stay here!

A Real Home from Home

Excellent communication throughout. A very well equipped and comfortable cottage in a quiet area but only a few minutes walk from the river, a few more minutes to the city centre and, in our case, the Christmas markets. Lots of nice touches made this a real home from home. We had a great week here.

A lovely place

This house is great, very homely. Close enough to centre of York to be able to walk in and enjoy all York has to offer, yet far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Have stayed here a number of time and will be staying again.

Beautiful & well-equipped house inside the city wall

The owners have done a great job. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated and has everything you could need. The location was perfect - seconds from the wall and under 5 minutes’ walk to the city centre.

Wonderful house, very warm, great amenities and easy walk to York city centre. High chair and travel cot provided and lovely bubbles and treats provided. Highly recommend to any one visiting York. Great to have parking provided

Comfort and joy!

The property was better than expected for location and quality. Everything was clean, organised and furnished to high standards with thoughtful amenities provided, even a hairdryer in each room! Quiet area and neighbours. We had a lovely stay, ate at local cafes and went on long wintery walks through historic York.

The house was exceptionally located for us to walk into York to enjoy the Christmas Market. There were some treats waiting for us which we enjoyed and thought was a nice touch. The check in process was clear, and we even received a phone call the day before making sure that we had received the check in details and if we had any questions regarding our stay, which again, was a nice touch. The house is well decorated, and we loved the American size refrigerator with ice maker, which as an American, I was very happy about and used a lot!! We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again when we travel back to visit York again.

Family Easter break

Fantastic! The location was brilliant, the house is delightful with plenty of room for all. Lovely little touches by host, like fresh milk, tea, coffee and bottle of fizz. Such a little gem I have recommended to friends already. Stays York were also extremely helpful and really impressed by the curtesy call the day before our trip.

Great location nice place

We met the grandparents here. They drove but we did it by train. You could easily do York without a car if you stayed here. We walked everywhere including from the train station. I liked how close it was to the wall but it was a quiet location.

Great location, lovely property, parking easy

We were looking for somewhere close to the centre of town with parking that would fit a Land Rover. We expected to be disappointed, but 48 Fairfax Street was perfect. Inside the city walls, residents parking available, very quiet at night. House very well looked after, no complaints at all.

Lovely property in a great location

Fairfax Street is a very comfortable and welcoming house, with plenty of room for our party of 4 adults and two children. It's smart and very well-kept, especially considering that it's dog-friendly. The location is excellent, with easy walking to everywhere in central York, but on a very quiet street. There are a couple of very squeaky floorboards in the attic bedroom which sound in the master double below, but understandable as it's a period property. We had a great stay and would defininteley recommend.

Perfect spot

Lovely property on a very quiet street, but only a 5 minute walk from the town centre. The spec was really high, lovely plush carpets upstairs, and the bathroom and kitchen were better than at home! Lovely little gifts on arrival and nice touches, like having coffee, milk etc. We had one minor problem, resolved by text message within minutes.

A fabulous spot!

I can't imaging a better spot to be in York. A short walk to everything while in a very quiet neighbourhood on a cute little street. The flat was modern and had excellent features and a lovely kitchen. Six of us were comfortable. Having 3 bathrooms was great. The third floor bedroom had very creaky floors over the main bedroom. I would definitely rent this flat again. We all loved it!

Excellent house in Central York

We loved the accommodation in Fairfax Street. House had plenty of room for 4 adults and a child. It is well situated about 15 mins walk from the city centre but the immediate area is quiet. There was a small play park nearby and the little micro bakery at the end of the street and the community owned pub around the corner shouldn't be missed. The kitchen was very well equipped and the welcome pack was great, including milk, biscuits, prosecco and as it was Easter some chocolate bunnies. There were also tea bags, coffee and some condiments available. Beds were comfortable and rooms had plenty of storage especially the main bedroom. The floor of the top storey bedroom is very creaky but it didn't prevent us from sleeping in the room below. There was a travel cot, changing mat and high chair available. Stairs are quite steep so the addition of an optional stair gate might be useful. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent house when visiting York

We stayed as a family of 5 adults, and the layout was ideal - on the ground floor the space was great for socialising with open plan lounge, diner and kitchen, leading to outside space. There is an added bonus of a downstairs toilet. The outside space is compact but catches the sun very nicely during the day, with space for their table and four chairs, and for the dogs to enjoy too. There are then two floors, one with two bedrooms and the main bathroom, with the main bedroom having a lovely ensuite. The second floor has a sloping ceiling, our son is 6ft 2, and just managed - the bed can be made into a kingsize but being tall the headroom is restricted, but manageable. Beds are very comfy. Everywhere clean and well equipped. Location is great, quiet neighbourhood, with amenities close and a lovely street nearby with wine bars, artisan shops and breakfast eateries, in addition to York being a 10 minute walk including a beautiful walk by the river. Overall an excellent place to stay, with great hosts.

Lovely property

This is a lovely property in a really pleasant area which is very close to the centre of York and yet is quiet and peaceful. The property is very clean, well equipped and well presented with comfortable beds and furniture and everything is well maintained apart from a small issue with a bathroom door handle, which is the only reason for the lower rating in the condition category, We were very pleased with the provisions and treats that were left for us and the information provided is done so in a warm and welcoming way so you feel very much at home here. I would definitely stay here again.
