“The hotel was in a very convenient location for visiting the Shambles and city core. We found the room itself to be a bit rough in terms of amenities. The stall shower was on the small side for me, but the hot water came quickly and didn’t run out. Our biggest complaint was that the TV signal was not stable (kept glitching out) and the room never really cooled down in the evening (no A/C). Granted, we were there during a record heat wave. “Bella camera pulita e spaziosa. Un bell’hotel in una bella città. Zona silenziosa e centrale, comoda per negozi ,attrazioni e ristoranti.La colazione è buona e compresa nel prezzo. Il personale gentile ma non troppo disponibile. L’ ultimo giorno avevo il treno alle sette ed ho chiesto per avere la colazione da portare via ,visto che il sabato iniziano tardi, alle sette. Ci hanno dato un sacchettino piuttosto “imbarazzante”. Forse era meglio evitare…”

“I recently stayed at Judges Court York for three nights and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.
I completely understand that the hotel can’t control the heatwave we experienced, but the rooms were unbearably hot. The only cooling provided was a small fan, which made very little difference, and it was extremely difficult to sleep. For the price of the hotel, I would expect better facilities, especially air conditioning or a more effective way of keeping guests...

“Grays Court is a beautiful and truly unique place to stay in York. The staff were warm and friendly, the accommodations were full of historic character, and the gorgeous garden made the property feel especially peaceful.

“It was a stay for my b'day and I'd always wanted to stay here, and it was cool staying in such an old building. The bed was very comfy. The four poster room I found to be very dark, but did add to the experience. The tap on the sink was very loose and there was a hole in the wall by the toilet and some brown spots on the toilet seat which wasn't great. For the price I would've expected better.”

“Completely disappointed about this place. The rate we paid establish a charge of 60 pounds for cleaning concept. Well, clearly they are not using this money for such porpuse.
I can not believe the state of that duvet, dust on the appliances and the exhaust vents, stained carpets and crumbs on the counter. Lucky the bathroom was acceptable and we did not use the kitchen or the fridge at all.”
