Friendly host Emil provided a comprehensive list of sights for day trips, restaurants and events, and instructions for the property. Good walking trails from both cottage and Lismore.”

“Although the host resides in tha U.S. he was very helpful via telephone. His caretaker bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful. A visit to Blarney Castle, the Jameson Whiskey Distillery and the Waterford Crystal Factory were the highlights of our stay. We would definitely stay there again. Dave and June”

Robert was incredibly communicative and helpful on all matters though there was nothing we needed for the house because he had it all! “This was a lovely place for us to stay for three nights. Clean and spacious for six adults. Within walking distance of Castlemartyr's Main Streets and several shops and pubs. The property manager was very sweet and even left us a cake to welcome us.”

“The house was beautiful, comfortable, and really well laid out. The internet/wifi was fast enough for streaming movies (just barely, but it was). We were grateful for the separate clothes washer and tumble dryer. Since we stayed for a month, Sarah included a weekly cleaning service, which was also very much appreciated. And of course, the nearby pub! We hope to stay here again in the future, and we recommend this home without hesitation.”

Evitate la stanza 101
"La mia recensione è riferita semplicemente alla stanza 101 (probabilmente una stanza ricavata, in precedenza sicuramente adibita a stanza di servizio). La stanza presentava un forte odore di muffa, la moquette macchiata nei lati (causa muffa) e il pavimento leggermente in pendenza. La porta del bagno non si chiudeva e la vista affacciava direttamente sui cassonetti dell’hotel. Peccato perché l’hotel ha un suo fascino, con finiture in ottone e mobili di peach pine che ripartono ai fasti andati. La posizione è privilegiata. Non abbiamo potuto provare il ristorante dell’hotel poiché chiuso (il sabato sera). La scelta di cibo nel bar era limitata (panini, pollo fritto e fish and chips) peccato perché a Cork arriva del pesce freschissimo."
