“Cute little inn, run by really nice people. Dinners were fantastic—different every night. The staff were really nice and even gave us a ride to the train station early the morning we left. The inn is across the street from the resort shuttle, so it’s easy to get to and from Appi Resort. ”

“A nice set-up for a ski-in/ski-out resort. My kids also had great lessons with an English instructor. Getting to Appi Kogen was also quite easy with the buses from Morioka Station. We were also bumped up to a larger room, which was very comfortable, especially by Japanese standards. That was also great. However….. The only drawback was the very limited food options, especially for dinner with young kids, who don’t eat very much anyway. We live in Japan, so we’re accustomed to Japanese portions,...

“Ryumontei hotel is a beautiful gem! The room was spacious and clean. The entire ryokan was designed around the gorgeous and huge Japanese garden which made every moment at the ryokan a picturesque moment. A must visit during autumn! The hotel was conveniently located within short distance to nearby tourist attractions such as oriase stream, lake towada and mount hakkoda. Oh and the dinner at the ryokan was out of this world! Sadhimi, crab, beef, fish, abalone... everything was presented...
